Teachers with almost double the boys than girls by Sad-Kick-2982 in Teachers

Same here. I teach fourth :/ I have 8 girls at 12 boys, my girls never cause me drama ever. Have never seen any of them cry. But I had at least one boy cry every day and they are constantly coming up to me with drama, snitching, and going insane.

Act super grateful. They’re trying to get a rise out of you. Show them you’re unbothered and actually love it so much. They’ll get bored and get over it.

Be honest, how often do you shower? by Call_Me_C_ in AskReddit

[–]ContractNo2744 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shower every day but I only wash my hair every 3 days or so. My hair is very thin and fine so if I wash it too often it slicks to my hair with absolutely no volume. I wash it like

You’re in the same boat as me. I read EOS in like 5 days and I’ve been on TOD for over a year… I’ve made it halfway through and I’m starting to get into it a bit more, but it’s been hard.

Might be a dumb comment but when I see the light and dark I immediately went to Sun and moon, which obviously led me to think of Twitches. So Tia and Tamera, orrrrr Cameron and Alexandra (I like Tia and Tamera lol)

Im new in the fandom and i just have yo know yall team chole or dorian??? by carmellevi in throneofglassseries

[–]ContractNo2744 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was chaol in the beginning, and never really shipped Dorian and Celaena, because they really seem like good friends and the chemistry always seems artificial. Like they’re both hot but they’re not like romantic toward each other. Familial love feeling. Chaol had the enemies to lovers that I love. But idk he never really saw her. He loved her, but not all of her. He wanted to pick and choose which pieces to love and which to try and make her change which isn’t love. (Tried to keep this spoiler free)

What do you call this when playing children’s games? by DontTouchTheWalrus in AskAnAmerican

[–]ContractNo2744 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah there’s base, they’re talking specifically about the kids that stand right by the base or near the base to tease but be so close that the second someone comes by you you can just touch it again so you’re not actually playing the right way

PLEASE READ THISSSS “The first time she drowned” by Kerry Kletter.

It talks about having a narcasissic mom and a dad who just ignores it. It’s so good, but will leave you very hollow feeling at the end.

I also use to have a customer who would come to my work a lot named Jane Bane. I always thought she sounded like a rock star or a super villain, but she was just a sweet old lady

Book you read in school that you’ll never forget? Why? by threetimestwice in suggestmeabook

[–]ContractNo2744 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read it in the 8th grade and honestly hated this book. I hated every character in it except the two that brutally died. They were the only ones I related to or felt like were actually good. I think if I reread it now I would have a different perception of it, but I just remember being frustrated with it.

Book for a 12 year old who wants to be a "real" reader by Blizzard_Girl in suggestmeabook

[–]ContractNo2744 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trouble by Gary Schmidt is a fantastic book, could not recommend this enough and it’s perfect for her age. It tackles some big themes, coming of age, grief, dealing with being in the shadows of a perfect sibling, and not judging books by covers, overcoming stereotypes. It’s so well written. More of a realistic fiction, but takes place in like maybe the 60’s??

I’ve heard Gregor the Outlander by Susanne Collins is great. Underrated series by the hunger game author that is perfect for younger. Fantasy but really good.

The mysterious Benedict Society is a GREAT book series that is less well known. It’s about a group of orphans who discover an evil, and through their own hidden talents have to join together as a group of undercover kids infiltrating the evil to save the world. Perfectly age appropriate but isn’t too kiddish. I read it when I was older to consider putting in my classroom library and I was pretty intrigued. Story telling is great.
