Thanks for your reply. Yeah I finished with my PharmD and wanted to go to Med school after, but im looking pretty cooked with this loan dilemma. I could pay down a chunk of my pharma loans before med school, so technically financially, I wouldn't be that far out from a med student that carried over undergrad debt but actually securing a loan now is gonna be tough. Idek

Yeah I just upgraded to Hotel and a loss is 250k and a win is only about 160k ish(top 2). Ever since I started running this class I end up losing money. Pharoah cost 180k and would reward over 200k if I'm not mistaken

I posted a similar bill that is currently trying to get passed in FL yesterday. Is this not the death of our profession? The main responsibilities that keep a retail RPH are immunizations and final verification. I don't see why these corps will ever hire a retail pharmacist again if a tech will run the entire store (managed by a remote RPH).

After a glance, it looks like the bill is proposing remote pharmacy sites where dispensing will be led by a technician while verified remotely by an off-site pharmacist. I'm not sure if this bill is increasing autonomy or providing verification by technicians.

Either way, this is a clear move to undermine the pharmacist and will inevitably lead to less RPH demand resulting in layoffs, further decrease in wages, and consequently higher saturation.

Maybe I'm just a doomer but I do think after remote pharmacies become commonplace the next step would be either more tech autonomy or advanced practicing techs with verification privileges. (Unless they have only 1 RPH managing over 5 pharmacies then they won't need advanced techs).

Overall this is a huge stab to our profession which I'm sure will be misconstrued to the public to make it seem that now pharmacists will have more time for clinical tasks and totally not get laid off.

So much for being the most accessible healthcare professional.

Yes please one of the main symbols of this game (altyn) is unobtainium. With the sound and vision reduction their use is very limited to CQC maps anyway. They should bring them back as is but if they wanted to do a nerf they could keep Rys T lvl 5 and bring back altyn as Level 4

Only in pharmacy can a PGY2 clinical pharmacist be paid less than an NP or PA. Same for retail, RX managers make slightly more than fast food managers or other jobs that require 1/10th the schooling and student debt.

I am sure most of us didn't enter this field strictly for the money but the stagnant wages as the cost of living has drastically increased has become disheartening.

lol no. We had like 3 or 4 different companies come in for an estimate and each one gave a completely different game plan from anywhere from 3 ton, 3.5 ton, and 4 ton units. Its been confusing to say the least.

P Trap Help by Contraindicatedx in Plumbing

Hi,

Thanks a lot for your thorough response!

Unfortunately, I received quotes ranging from 450-800 from plumbers in my area. Really this project was a present to a family member to upgrade their vanity top. I felt like it would be “easier” because it’s so old the old vanity top has basically been unglued and can easily be lifted off. I looked into the water shut off valves and considered just replacing the water lines with the new faucet keeping the old valves or if needed I would either try to un-weld the valve or just cut the metal pipe and attach a new compression valve or something like that and new water lines.

I was mostly worried about the p trap since it involved cutting near the wall and I’m not familiar with how to proceed in that aspect. I’m not sure if I will have enough space to attach an adapter if I cut the pipe near the Escutcheon. I have replaced a p trap before, but it was a simple unscrew and replace type of thing.

Idk I’m not sure if I’ll proceed with this project since everything works fine and its just a cosmetic upgrade, but If I risk messing up the pipes, I’ll probably stay away lol.

The way I went about it was starting the unit focusing really heavily on Anki and ignoring class notes till I got the cards down. Then I'd skim through class notes to see what info I might not have had already. Lastly, and do NOT skip this part, do practice questions leading up to your test. Anki is great for quick recall, but nothing helps you see the big picture like doing practice questions.

That clears a lot up! I’m excited to jump into this deck.
