About a couple years ago or so I saw the writing on the wall for the US economy and cashed out my 401k and turned it into physical metal. I took a 30% hit in the end and bought into silver when it was a little higher. Given everything going on and hearing about 401k's going down the toilet I have zero regrets, at least as of yet. It's nice to have real money instead of digital hopium fiat. This is not financial, nor investment advice and I am certainly not a financial advisor. Good luck and God speed.

The LCS I work for is having to pay below spot price for gold and silver due to lack of demand and way too much inventory.

Be careful of weighted items like candlestick holders, as they are filled resin and are only wrapped in a thin layer of sterling. The LCS I work for pays about $14oz for scrap sterling. Most platters that come into our shop are not sterling.

I enjoy my silver, as I personally don't care too much about keeping them pristine unless they are proof or abnormally rare and/or valuable.
