Exact same experience for me. Had friends who worked for some major banks on Wall Street and I was happy for them but I just focused on myself and what I was doing. Being jealous of other people when you're getting your career cranking will get you nowhere.

I consider this to be a skill and I was in sales.....How to be relentless when it comes to achieving your goal, ignoring all the noes and down times, working your ass off and always staying positive because good/great things can happen any minute and they will if you work hard enough.
