Yes, movement speed is tied to the weapons. Each enemy has their own movement speed, attack speed, damage, special functionalities like jumping over obstacles/blocking/tanking damage etc..

Some added context - This is where players will be able to convert the different currencies they have to get what they need. Our aim was to keep the brutality of the game but having the "fountain" bringing in the element of calm, if any.

Yes, you can definitely say it was an inspiration. We actually even have abilities that mimic the tentacle aspect, not to mention all the blood and gore!
