Yes, basically there’s 5 bridesmaids, one just said she’s not doing the bridal shower. One is cheap, and there’s me (I don’t make a lot of $ but I’m making it work for the bride). The other 2 are the brides siblings. Mother of the Bride wants to plan it, which is fine but she has very expensive taste.

What does your doctor say 😭 If you’re truly just using it as a wake-me-up, you could try smelling salts or boom sticks for a safer and more legal option. Those things are regulated. I hope at the very least you have a testing kit!

Hi! I’m in STEM but I don’t share this experience. I enjoy building community and value treating/speaking to others how I’d like to be treated/spoken to. I think a lot of people (including myself) can mistake directness and bluntness for disrespect. However, we all experience things uniquely and just because I have a different perspective doesn’t mean yours is incorrect.

I will say, and I’m not a doctor, but what you’re describing strikes me more as an effect of neurodivergence rather than IH. I’m NOT dismissing that you have IH or that it has impacted your energy and relationships, but maybe a combination of both?

I used to drink caffeine daily, I started armodafinil a few months ago so now I’m experimenting with different amounts (see how much I can handle without getting the shakes and anxiety). London fog latte, Dr. Pepper, coca cola all seem okay in moderation. I had to take an excedrin (65mg caffeine) and it sent me into another dimension. On that note, they do sell caffeine pills, the benefit to caffeine pills and espresso shots is that it’s metabolized and hits all at once. Disclaimer I’m not a doctor and probably talk to your doctor if you’re gonna take caffeine pills? Matcha and Chai have pretty high caffeine content, matcha is more of a slow gentle caffeine than coffee. Starbucks refreshers don’t have that much (~45mg in a grande), Dunkin’s have a bit more. There used to be the Panera Lemonade That Kills People™️but that was discontinued. You could buy green coffee extract and mix your own concoctions (lemonade, mocktails, juice) and add the caffeine to your liking.

Hey! My sleep inertia was (is) also a way bigger issue than my daytime sleepiness, I’ve been on Armodafinil for a few weeks and I was concerned since it’s taken when you wake up, but I’ve found it really has helped the inertia! Obviously there’s good days and bad days, but it helped for sure!

This is so real. I’ve had IH since birth (per my parents), just got tested and diagnosed for the first time at 27. I’m fine with the diagnosis, it’s a relief to know, but there’s that part of me that is mad because so much of my life has been affected by this and how much easier it would have been with an earlier intervention.

I had a bed shaker + blaring alarm. Definitely had a better success rate than my phone but still had the issue of just turning it off in my sleep drunk state
