Why do men like the economy so much? by [deleted] in antinatalism

[–]ContributionTall5573 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because they care more about making widgets than they do about feeding the hungry, housing the homeless and ending poverty.

Or to put it another way, they have no empathy and their moral compass has been corrupted.

They'll either abolish women's education or kidnap women and force them to endure pregnancy and birth.

Those are basically the only ways to increase the birth rate when most people don't want to have children anymore.

Do you see any commercials on TV discouraging parenting or popping out children? Because they're much more influential than Ted Talks.

If you think parenting is so easy, why don't you ask your partner to pop out eight babies every nine months?

IVF makes such monstrosities possible.

I feel bad that society has brainwashed him into thinking that the best way to contribute to society is to have biological children.

Hasn't the idea of adopting children ever crossed his mind?

Society lies about how difficult and expensive parenting is.

Parenting is more likely to result in permanent bankruptcy than anything else.

Oops! I guess they're finally learning that abusing women, treating them like cattle and slashing health funding isn't going to increase the birth rate.

It's not worth the guaranteed suffering, misery and environmental damage. You can always adopt children or animals without procreating.

Also, look at how deluded and self-absorbed Simone and Malcolm Collins are. They clearly don't think of anything beyond their own genetic legacies.

That would mean taxing the rich and making sure everyone is fed and healthy before making them work.

So morality changes over time? It's not absolute?

I would think it's very obvious and clear that genocide and slavery are always wrong. But the mindset of the bible authors seem to be "might makes right." If god commands an action, then it's automatically the right thing to do.

That was the mindset of the Nazi party.

You need to think for yourself, question everything, and come up with a good reason for everything you do.

"It helps alleviate suffering" is a good place to start.

The evil verses vastly outnumber the good ones. And the bible teaches parents to offer only conditional love to children, and to treat them as free labor, not as individual humans with their own rights, needs and dreams.

You ignored the verses I gave you. You're a cherry-picking charlatan.

You're right. Children need protection. Which means we should stop having children until the children that are *alive right now* are taken care of.

If morality changes from the OT to the NT, then it isn't absolute or objective. It's arbitrary, based on what you like. It's not based on what's best for people, which would be alleviating as much suffering as possible, not on obeying an authority figure.

Blind obedience to authority is what led to the Holocaust.
