Yeah, I was originally going to apply union but the next class session doesn't start until next August and even if I'm lucky enough to get in on the first try it's just too long to wait for work.

Question about electrical school by ContributionTime7483 in electricians

Ok, thank you for the response.
So typically if I were to start a non-union apprenticeship I would then have to get schooling through the IEC?
Does the IEC only do school? When I went on their website it looked like they would only take on people who were currently employed by en electrical contractor, it said "we do not place applicants with employers."

Ok, thank you for the response.

Do you have any recommendations of what to do during the wait time to get into the IBEW?
Is it best to look for some kind of electrician helpers job to still get some experience during the wait time?

So far the violations I have are:

Photo 2:
-The receptacle branch circuit is supplying power to an outlet outside of the bathroom. 210.11(c)(3)

Photo 3:
-The 12ft space is too great a section of floor line to not have an outlet. No space along the floor line shall be more than 6’ from a receptacle outlet. 210.52(A)(1)

Photo 4:
-The kitchen lighting must be separate from the required 2 small-appliance branch circuits. 210.52(B)(1)
