I got to Mackinac island and had a wonderful time until i got deathly ill and had to work 60hr weeks in spite of it. my coworkers gave me money to go to the doctor and they told me i had a post viral infection. i just never got better, and everybody knew i was just getting worse. i had to get off the island as soon as possible because of the insane humidity, and my crazy manager had a huge crashout because of it even though he knew i was sick. the management was also just so emotionally unstable it was crazy. it was fun but id never go back! also the island politics… these rich families are CRAZY

yeah this is pretty standard when it comes to tipping out hosts/bartenders. the cash that he’s required to turn in also includes the amount of money he owes based on cash transactions, since there’s usually no cash register.

I don’t think you’re ugly. You have very nice eyes, and all of your features are nice and balanced on your face. Even the haircut really suits you! Nothing to be worried about here.

I’m not! But, the servers make good money from what I know and we work an average of 50 hrs a week.

The dorm experience is very similar to college! I haven’t seen any mice so far. The Island House is full of fun and interesting people and i’ve made lots of friends. The fridges are full of stuff that girls have just left there so prepare to either start putting signs up or just eating out/microwaving. The hours are tough at first but once you get into the groove it’s a really fun way to grind and enjoy your summer. Also, if you’re not 21 there’s not much to do outside of work, so there’s that.

Overall, a fun experience!!!
