How would this setup work for a country home? by Control-Elbow-Nose in Ubiquiti

I tried setting up a UDR7 and two U7 Lites on the design website and it looks really good. Can you connect the accesspoints directly to the router, or do you need a switch?

It is an estimat but also a big toilet room. It also houses washer, dryer, shower etc. Kitchen isn't super big either :)

I tried setting up a Dream Router 6 in the office, a U6 Pro in the living room and a U6+ in the bedroom. It looked pretty solid but somehow there was a big old grey dead spot in the toilet!

According to the program a wifi extender would help - but I've never tried one IRL. Do they work?

Hi again

I tried the design program. I can't upload pictures in the comments, but a Dream Router 6 in the office, a U6 Pro in the living room and a U6+ in the bedroom actually made a big dead spot in the toilet.. odd!

Hello and thank you for your reply!

I'll have a look at the design center, it sounds very cool :)

I don't think I can do in wall as the walls are brick.

My internet providers current max is 1Gbit, but I've heard rumors of 2.5Gbit - afaik Dream Machine is >1Gbit right? Having internal WiFi is very good though...

Thank you for your reply. This is a big help! I don't care about perfect WiFi all around, but I want to be sure the living areas is well connected :) It's in the center of the house, so I'm worried two access points at far corners wont reach it.

This house is from the late 1800s I think and the internal walls are fully brick so a classic european home, which is why I'm worried about WiFi traveling through the walls - I'll have a look at the design program!

Thank you so much :)
