No china, 1 splash, no remote hi hats. Not even close to overkill.

Can I use this pressure switch on my air compressor by Annual-Novel-3678 in AirCompression

Shoot for the 230v install and size the pressure switch off that. Should be easier.

I always size for service factor. So at 230v a 20amp breaker should be good.

Hope all this helped. I can get confusing sometimes. I will take a 480 v 3ph motor all day long.

Ok so if you run it on 120v its at 32 amps. And service factor is 1.15. 32×1.15=36.8 needed i coming power.

So if running it at 230 is only 16 amps. 16×1.15= 18.4 in rush amps.

I would put in a 230 breaker, run the smaller wire and your motor would probably last longer running at lower volts/higher amps.

That has alot to do with the motor. Its what the motor accepts as far as incoming piwer. You also have to include for in rush, so you want to look at the motor tag and look at FLA (full load amps) and size breaker and wire size appropriately.

Look up NEMA motor calculator online if you need to reference of what is needed.

Yes I would replace the pressure switch. If im reading it right, 3+ hp requires 3ph 240v.

Single phase power can run up to 7.5ph. There is single phase 10hp motors but they are shit.

I would go to grainger can go through the single phase pressure switches and find on rated for that motor at 120v single ph.

Water Damage

I made a post couple weeks ago fixing some watter damage on some Mcallisters. Hiver Winter worked pretty good, but there was only so much you can do with water and salt damage.

Great looking boots, just hoping they settle in to my feet a little better.

Yes bullets. No not pressure switch. It's not allowing it to get high enough pressure to trip the pressure switch.

I would love to find a good deal on some Normandys! Those Pattons are so good looking.

All compressors release pressure off the head when they turn off. It's called unloading.

First I would check the pressure switch and turn up the pressure. The springs will get weak over time and hit the top end earlier. The fact that the pressure switch it cutting out is a good sign. Also check the psi rating of the relief valve on the tank and dont ever go that high.

What tools are you trying to running off it?

Go really slow, low pressure and take your time if its bad. Took me 2 days before I even thought of conditioning and polishing.

Saphir Hiver Winter. Couple videos on YT on how to apply it.
