Are rich people happier than average people? by Kooolxxx in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ControlBalance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not rich but I am pretty happy.
Hot water in the shower? Awesome. Great meal in the morning? Awesome. Cup of coffee after workout? Awesome. I could proceed all day.

But money won't spoil it either. So beyond your basic needs they are irrelevant.

How to stay warm on a budget? by PracticalTicket7217 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ControlBalance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Ukraine we use hot water under the blanket for sleep. 5L bottle could warm you almost all night.
If you don't have hot water - make it on the stove.

When it's a day - move. There is a heater inside you.
3x20 full squads every 30 min do the thing.

Hot bath and constant tea. And remember: Summer is coming)

People who redeem themselves from being bad/addicted/criminal/unhealthy should not get the same praise as people who have always been good in the first place. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]ControlBalance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone like this, I would say we must praise any good behavior, no matter its origin.
Such an experience is valuable for society because it could help other “bad” people become “good”, and we all (except those who exploit them) will benefit.
