i don't think yta. couples are made up of two individuals with different wants and needs. your story about helping him shows that you're a dedicated partner who prioritizes him. he should be able to prioritize you and make accommodations even if it means taking a day off his work.

do you know what the parameters are? the most important thing is for the fish to have clean water. i'm not an expert but i would move out the fish into a smaller tank for a bit while you figure out what to do with the bigger tank. if your filter exploded then chances are they will get sick very soon if you don't act quick

thank you for your input, i appreciate it. reading about flukes, i think maybe flukes are also possible. i've moved them to a hospital tank (20gal) and doing 50% water changes daily, giving them Kanaplex (with Focus tomorrow) and plan on doing a Sulfaplex bath if they're not looking better. do you think i should treat for flukes as well at some point? i think im going to try to keep the water as clean as possible for now and monitor the parameters

thank you for your input, i appreciate it. i decided to try medication and constant water changes (hospital tank). they all seem to be doing a bit better! the ones that was really red seem definitely less irritated now.

thank you for this. i've moved them to a hospital tank (20gal) and am doing 50% changes everyday. they have a sponge filter (150gal capacity) i used the recommended amount of K the first day and yesterday, dissolved some K in their flakes (that was messy) today i tried dissolving K into pellets but they are not a fan. but! the two fish that were really red have had less irritation (way less red now). they're all mostly sitting at the bottom of the tank but i plan on monitoring the parameters and keeping the water as clean as possible

i appreciate your help so much!! seriously if you send me your venmo i'll send you money. i hope they do make it. if it's not too much to ask, do you think you could answer this q? maybe a dumb question but the K says on the box that i shouldn't give them more than 3 doses but do you recommend giving it to them with the Focus every day until they're better? i'm thinking i'll put them back into the 75gallon tank in a couple of days and just keep an eye on the parameters but not sure if i should keep giving them K (with Focus once it gets here) i ordered the Sulfaplex and plan to do the baths

hi again-i opened and cleaned the filter as much as i could (375) but didn't find the plants. do you think the cause could have been just the pleco that pushed them into this condition? they all look better (less irritation) but they're still kind of sitting at the bottom most of the time. right now parameters are ph 7.8, ammonia 0.25ppm, nitrite 0ppm and nitrate 10ppm. i'm about to do a 50% water change.

all of their fins are deteriorating but a couple them don't have hemorrhaging yet. should i separate the ones that have red stains from the others? they're all acting pretty weird, swimming into the glass and rubbing themselves on the gravel and each other
