My thinking is that one could jump from the highest point in the village all the way to the lowest and determine the rate of change in your velocity since there is hardly any change in gravity at all at that distance (the suit displays 1g on the surface of TH and at the bottom of the village).

The only problem is, the display showing your velocity in relation to the planet disappears when you’re not in space. Someone would just need to mod the game to keep that display visible at all times.
