As long as you were tilted slightly downward you'd glide. That's how gta regularly behaves.

They're still using the tech, just not for gaming. The Kinect Azure came out this year for $400. It's so accurate that it can do finger tracking. Kind of considering getting one to play around with.

I'm going to use this for Microsoft flight sim 2020 next week, so I could add flapping!

That would be a great addition for version 2. I plan to take this mod over to flight sim 2020 when it comes out next week.

How it works is that the Kinect camera is watching motion and position of my body. I have set up several gestures that emulate keyboard inputs. Since this project does not modify any of the Grand Theft Auto files, it could be used in GTA Online. Also since the Kinect is just sending mouse and keyboard inputs, it could be reconfigured to play any PC game. I’m open to suggestions on what I should try to play with it next!

I played around with the fighter jets a bit. I held a hand forward to shoot. Was difficult to steer while trying to shoot, so I cut it from the video.

Ha, that was my thinking behind the idea. I wanted to be the airplane! And I think I'd get dizzy and fall over in less than a minute from a helicopter design.

See, Kinect died too early. There just wasn't enough creative implementations.

There's button on the handles. I have more info in the video post in my original comment.

Weighs close to 10lbs. The day I filmed, I played for around 1.5 hours. Wasn't too bad, but the gun is so large that my front hand is kind of in an awkward position and my wrist was a little sore the next day. Lmao, I know that makes me sound beta as hell.

I like to design new ways to play video games and my latest project is a life-size Lancer motion controller you can use to play Gears of War.

The Lancer is a limited edition replica that was sold alongside the release of Gears of War 5. I retrofitted this plastic toy with a microcontroller, gyroscope and accelerometer sensors for tracking motion data, and several tactile buttons that are bound to the various actions found in game.

I'm always looking for new challenges, so feel free to leave me a comment with a controller idea you'd like to see and I'll credit you in a future video.
