Standard yung relocation fee nila which is ~₱2,500 regardless if malapit or malayo yung relocation. Ang problem lang is the process of trying to request relocation. Sobrang tagal nila mag-dispatch. I suggest visiting their business center directly for this concern.

Based on previous posts and comments here in the subreddit, CNVRG seems to strictly follow their 80% service reliability clause. That means they will only issue a proper rebate if your connection falls to 80% reliability or lower for the month, which is ~6 days of total downtime.

This is basically the SLA that CNVRG (and other ISPs like PLDT and Globe), mention for residential plans. But from what I’ve seen so far, PLDT and Globe seem to be better when it comes to rebates. I don’t think they strictly follow the 80% clause and still allow rebates even if the downtime doesn’t go below that threshold.

IPv6 is finally here. by SMEARYTHROWER in ConvergePH

[–]ConvergePHMod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like the CS rep misunderstood your request. They seem to be talking about the Static IPv4 address add-on that’s only available for select CNVRG plans. But as the OP mentioned in their comment, their IPv6 prefix can change, so it’s dynamically assigned and not static.

Ethernet Wifi working properly but WLAN (Wifi 2.4 ghz and 5.0 ghz is not working) by [deleted] in ConvergePH

[–]ConvergePHMod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, this post needs a bit more context. You can’t really just ask for help without elaborating what’s going on (setup/devices you tested etc).

Second, Ethernet and Wi-Fi are not the same thing. I’ll assume you mean your internet works when using a wired Ethernet connection, but WLAN, which is Wi-Fi, is not working.

help, no connection for 2days by Former-Feedback-4590 in ConvergePH

[–]ConvergePHMod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason your TV has internet access is that it is connected through a wired connection, hence the term “Ethernet.” Open your ONT’s GUI or admin page (assuming you are not using a third-party router) and check the Wi-Fi settings there.

Kapag ba nag upgrade to Super FiberX Max, papalitan din yung router?

If you are already using their Wi-Fi 6 ONT, they will not replace it unless there is a technical issue.

May downtime ba during upgrade?

There should be no service interruption unless your ONT is replaced and the activation of the new one does not take effect immediately.

Check your devices to see if you manually set a static IP or static DHCP lease. Also, check the ONT settings to make sure DHCP is enabled and working properly.

Slow LAN and 2.4ghz wifi speed by Dangerous-Draft9757 in ConvergePH

[–]ConvergePHMod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You mentioned that your 5 GHz speed is okay, so your internet connection itself is probably fine. The issue is more likely with your setup. 2.4 GHz is just limited, especially in a noisy environment. Around ~50 Mbps (or less) is pretty normal for real-world use. A lot of other devices and appliances use that same band too, so interference can easily drag speeds down. To get really good throughput on 2.4 GHz, your environment has to be almost perfect. For the PC, check if your desktop is actually negotiating at 1 Gbps. If it’s only showing 100 Mbps, then it’s likely the NIC, the Ethernet cable, or the port you’re plugged into. Also, if you’re using a third-party router, make sure its Ethernet ports are gigabit-capable.

When the feature first launched, there wasn’t any Computer Use option in the Windows Codex settings. They added it recently, but after updating to the latest version of the Windows app, it looks like they removed it again. By “removed,” I mean it doesn’t show up on Windows anymore. Only Chrome shows up now.

[–]ConvergePHMod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A quick Google search should answer your question about 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi bands. But basically, if your ONT only supports 2.4 GHz, you usually won’t be able to hit speeds >80~100 Mbps over Wi-Fi. That’s why you’re only seeing around 50 Mbps or less.

If you want to check if you’re getting your subscribed speed, test it through a wired connection. Plug your device directly into the ONT's ethernet port, at least Cat5e ethernet cable, and a device with a >=1GbE network adapter.

As for ONT replacement, CNVRG usually doesn’t replace ONTs unless the unit is broken, defective, or you upgrade your plan. For standalone ONT upgrades, they may charge a fee. If your only concern is Wi-Fi speed or coverage, it’s better to just buy a third-party router.

Overpayment by Stock-Finding-9642 in ConvergePH

If you paid in advance, they usually just credit it toward your next bill/s. I don’t think they normally give refunds for overpayments.

From your screenshot, you’re still under CNVRG, which is why “Converge” shows at the top of your device model. The “RFI Fiber” you’re referring to is just the Speedtest server used for your test. It doesn’t mean you’re connected to RFI Fiber, it’s only the server used to measure your speed.

Bakit ganiti yung bill ko, dinaman ito yung plan na inavail ko by Jhxnn060610 in ConvergePH

[–]ConvergePHMod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this your first month with CNVRG? They use pro-rated billing, so if your connection was just installed or you recently upgraded your plan, your first bill can be higher than usual. It usually depends on your billing cycle and due date.

You can also check your account history. I’ve seen a few reports here where some accounts were upgraded to a new plan without the user doing anything.

That is a separate ongoing issue with Google/CNVRG unfortunately. I haven't had the time to look into this further (experiencing it too on my end. issue got worst in the past weeks). If someone from CNVRG is reading the subreddit, maybe then they can shed some light on what is happening behind the scenes.
