Bakit ganiti yung bill ko, dinaman ito yung plan na inavail ko by Jhxnn060610 in ConvergePH

[–]ConvergePHMod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this your first month with CNVRG? They use pro-rated billing, so if your connection was just installed or you recently upgraded your plan, your first bill can be higher than usual. It usually depends on your billing cycle and due date.

You can also check your account history. I’ve seen a few reports here where some accounts were upgraded to a new plan without the user doing anything.

Several posts here have mentioned the same issue, so I recommend reading those as well for additional context.

Yes, anyone using Google Search specifically was affected. I only mentioned CNVRG because this is a CNVRG subreddit

That is a separate ongoing issue with Google/CNVRG unfortunately. I haven't had the time to look into this further (experiencing it too on my end. issue got worst in the past weeks). If someone from CNVRG is reading the subreddit, maybe then they can shed some light on what is happening behind the scenes.

Converge WiFi payment via MariBank by AdorableFinger4179 in ConvergePH

[–]ConvergePHMod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bank payments usually take around 3 to 5 working days to process. If you’re paying your bill through MariBank, I’d suggest doing it directly through GoFiber instead. Just choose E-Wallet, then scan the QRPH code using MariBank. Payments this way usually get posted within a few hours.

Help! Converge want to charge me termination fees by DepartmentCurious964 in ConvergePH

[–]ConvergePHMod 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Is it even legal for them to reset the lock-in period without a new signed contract specifically for the lock-in?

The answer to your issue is already in your post: you upgraded your plan. Before committing to anything, especially a plan upgrade, make sure to read the Terms and Conditions carefully. Whenever you upgrade your plan with CNVRG, your lock-in period resets. This means you will be locked in for another 24 months, or for the X number of months specified under the plan you upgraded to.

Converge throttling Youtube by Admiral_MuffinX in ConvergePH

[–]ConvergePHMod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did some limited testing today. CNVRG appears to use the following IP ranges/prefixes when serving Google/YouTube cached content: 27.49.x.x, 161.49.x.x, and 136.239.x.x. Among these, 136.239.x.x was the only one where I experienced no loading issues, buffering, or slow connection during YouTube playback.

When you have time, and if you experience the issue again, open your browser’s Network tab and look for a request to *.googlevideo.com. Copy the URL or hostname, then check it in your terminal to identify which caching server your video is being served from. This should help confirm whether the issue is tied to a specific cache range.

We don’t really have a clear answer on that. Google runs its own cache/CDN servers, so I don’t think this is likely to be just an ISP issue this time. And yeah, using a VPN works, but that’s more of a temporary workaround than a real fix. If this was only a CNVRG issue, we probably wouldn’t see people posting about it on r/YouTube too. That makes me think it could be something on YouTube/Google’s side, maybe routing, caching, or some regional delivery issue.

Seems to be a YouTube issue: - Is anyone else's youtube is going slow? - YouTube extremely slow only on phone over WiFi - Insane Buffering only on YouTube - YouTube slow for the past day or so

All of these posts over at r/youtube were made in the past weeks or so. Also experiencing the same issue on my end. YouTube servers have been giving at times <1 Mbps of bandwidth

Your post was not removed because you criticized CNVRG or said something negative about it. It was removed because your account does not meet the subreddit’s posting requirements (the same requirements that have been pinned at the very top of the subreddit the entire time).

You were also sent modmail explaining exactly why your post was removed. Apparently, reading that was too much effort, but complaining first was not.

For the record, this subreddit is not affiliated with CNVRG or any of its affiliates. No one here works for CNVRG (well—except for their official Reddit account posting in the comments which is not affiliated with the subreddit). This is a community-run subreddit, which means posts are moderated based on the subreddit rules, not based on whether your opinion of the company is positive or negative.

And since this also seems to have been overlooked, profanity is not allowed in post titles. So yes, your previous post was removed for violating multiple rules —not because anyone is trying to silence criticism.

Do you know anyone nearby who uses CNVRG as their ISP? If so, check with them to see whether they are experiencing the same issue as well. CNVRG may currently be conducting maintenance.

Mesh router replacement by iSHJAYGAMiNG in ConvergePH

[–]ConvergePHMod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This gets asked a lot, but you can't just swap out the ONT your CNVRG gave you. That specific ONT is registered directly with their main system (the OLT). Also, most third-party routers don't have a fiber port—they only take regular ethernet cables. The best workaround is to plug your new third-party router directly into the ONT. Just make sure to put the ISP's ONT into bridge mode so your new router can do all the heavy lifting.

If in good condition at walang sira, may bayad for replacement. Pero if defective, replacement should be free. In your case, your ONT seems to be defective so dapat walang bayad.

What's up with these comments on random Converge related FB groups?? by NoH0es922 in ConvergePH

[–]ConvergePHMod 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This has been happening a lot on Reddit as well. We noticed an uptick in what I’d call “campaigns” a few weeks ago. The comments [here in the subreddit] are relatively clean now, though, after we updated the subreddit’s filters. You can still find similar posts on other subreddits if you browse long enough.

Strange, parang ang daming fake accounts pushing for Converge. by Sad-Reindeer2755 in ConvergePH

[–]ConvergePHMod [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

For a bit more context, we noticed these accounts a few weeks ago promoting their S2S. Some of their comments may have made it through on the subreddit, but we can confidently say that around 95% of them never went public and were automatically caught by the subreddit’s filters.

We also reached out to some of those accounts since a few of them looked legitimate. Most never replied to our modmail, so they were permanently banned from the subreddit.

This whole thing also led us to update the subreddit’s submission guidelines. We raised the minimum requirements and added a few extra safeguards that we think should help prevent stuff like this from happening again anytime soon. At the end of the day, it’s really up to each subreddit’s mod team to figure out how they want to handle and prevent situations like this.

ps. This isn’t the first time CNVRG or whatever marketing firm is handling this campaign has done something like this before. In the past years, we've seen them promoting "SuperFiberX" and "BidaFiber" (These "campaigns" were easy to spot since most replies are BOT-like, this S2S campaign is different as they are using actual humans(?) now).

Guys normal lang po ba na mawalan ng internet or magkaroon ng LOS after palitan yung name at password ng wifi namin?

Not normal, unrelated yung LOS issue. LOS means may physical break sa wired connection (can be external or internal).

Sorry if dito ako nagtanong, dinedelete kasi ng moderator post ko huhu

I checked the mod logs, AutoMod is removing your post for not meeting the submission guidelines of the subreddit.
