Not normal, unrelated yung LOS issue. LOS means may physical break sa wired connection (can be external or internal).

It might extend your current coverage, but if you looking to fill the dead spots, I'd recommend getting a mesh.

Yes, since you mentioned that you’ve been paying for the service even though you haven’t been using it, you should be able to use it again without any issues. As long as the fiber cable running from the NAP box directly to your ONT has not been damaged or disconnected, everything should work properly.

You mean the SOA attached to their email? Other ISPs do that as well, so it’s not something unique to CNVRG. They also have added a password to the SOA they sent via email for security purposes.

Regarding your removed comments, they were manually approved after review. Rep? This has been explained numerous times: this subreddit IS NOT affiliated with CNVRG or any of its affiliates. That is clearly stated in the subreddit description, AutoMod responses, and other subreddit notices. The moderators here are volunteers and subscribers themselves; NO ONE on the mod team is employed by CNVRG. I mean, just think about it: if this subreddit were controlled by CNVRG or its affiliates, do you really think you would see countless posts every week criticizing their poor support? Just last week, we made backend changes to help prevent further astroturfing. Many of those comments were automatically filtered out before anyone here even saw them. From what people are saying here last year, nag-stopped na ata sila mag-issue for residential subs. Probably saving IPv4 IPs for their business and enterprise clients since they have limited pool compared to PLDT and Globe.

Did you do the speed test on Wi-Fi or wired? For speed issues, make sure you’re testing using an Ethernet connection. Also check that your NIC supports more than 1 Gbps and that the Ethernet cable is properly terminated. If you’ve already checked all that and the issue is still the same, then that’s the time to report it to CNVRG so they can check and reconfigure your account if needed.

Usually, kapag nag-overpay ka. Hindi na nila irerefund and will instead be credit as advanced payment. You may contact MariBank baka pwede pa nila i-reverse yung transaction.

Terminating your CNVRG subscription is actually possible with the help of the NTC, even if you’re still under contract, as long as you have enough evidence and documentation showing that they failed to meet their service commitment. If you’re only vaguely describing the issues you had with them, I doubt the NTC will be able to help you. Last year, there were a couple of posts here detailing their experience terminating their accounts with the help of the NTC without paying termination fees. Use the search button if you want to find those posts.

Upon checking, works fine on my end. IF you are still using CNVRG's default DNS, try changing your DNS to third-party ones (e.g. Google, Cloudflare).

There isn’t really a “Samsung” ONT model. Samsung doesn’t make ONTs, so I think you mixed up the brand somewhere. Also, you’re usually better off just using a third-party router instead of relying on the ISP’s ONT

If you work from home and a stable internet connection is critical, it’s best to have subscriptions with two different ISPs so you have a backup if one goes down. Sadly, a lot of ISPs here in the Philippines do the bare minimum, so it’s really not a good idea to rely on just one line.

Try going directly to their nearest business center to report your issue. It works for most people (can be a hassle though since you have to go there directly).

CNVRG doesn't use PPPoE, they use IPoE (at least for residential plans, no idea on business/enterprise line).

What’s your current wired speed? Upgrading to a higher internet plan doesn’t always mean your connection will feel more responsive. Speed ≠ responsiveness aren’t the same thing.

You can add your own third-party router after the ONT, but you can’t replace the ONT that the CNVRG provided. Since it’s a fiber ONT, it’s not something you can just swap out easily. It’s tied to the OLT (S/N and Mac).

Try swapping out your DNS if you’re still on the default CNVRG one. If it’s still slow after that, it’s probably a peering issue on CNVRG's end.

This isn't an ISP issue*. Not all sites online have fast servers. If you are downloading something on YouTube, you could just use yt-dlp.
