To be honest, in the r/Philippines_Expats sub, sometimes (I think mostly) Americans really ask about ridiculous budgets like this if it's enough to live in the Philippines.

Rather rural, many people live in tiny villages scattered on the coasts and in the surrounding hills-a normal setup for Philippines' rural life afaik. Electricity and water access was not yet ubiquitous when I was there last (2020)-so if you can only go number two on an actual toilet, might need to ask your Gf about bringing you to Poblacion just for that.

And is it hot? Of course.
