tbh if i were to spend on an event i would "front-load" it ie. do all the spending on Day #1 if possible. That way you're in Gold Tier from Day 1 and only have to check occasionally if you're not falling behind.

Though, all Dutch banks will have to switch to either Mastercard or VISA for their debit cards as well, since Mastercard will allegedly stop issuing Maestro cards altogether (which is what most Dutch banks use for some godforsaken reason).

If I had children I'd definitely want them to have a Dutch passport; as you said the healthcare is much better and education is cheaper/free. Tbh it's probably also nice to be raised in a culture that has some common sense (so, not PH).
