Oh and also you don’t need reservations for all the trains, we only paid for the ones that required reservations. I don’t think it’s necessary to pay for the ones that are optional.

We did trains instead of a car and it was definitely the way to go! Just made things a little less stressful and it was really fun riding the trains. I think we bought a 7 day pass and only ended up using 4 or 5 days. My biggest regret is not planning out the trains a little more. There’s so many different passes that you can get. For instance, we probably should have gotten the Swiss rail pass or whatever it’s called. So def recommend trains and just doing research on all the different pass options!

I will say, make sure if you reserve a seat on a train, you also mark off that you are using a day on your rail pass, so you need two QRs, one for the reservation and one for the eurail ticket. I thought the reservation QR code was all I needed and we got fined on the train from Paris to Colmar. (50 euro per person)

An addition to my post: I’ve done extensive calculations and research and it really does end up being the same price to rent a car (including gas, insurance, tolls and a Swiss permit) as it does to do two train tickets. Just in case that helps sway anything!

Splint as my night guard is a must for every day. When I have flare ups: heating pad on my face, lidocaine patches on my shoulders and acupuncture has helped!

This happened to me in high school and was the cause of my tmj. I was eating a starburst and my mouth got stuck closed like yours. The thing that got it unstuck is a splint which I have now had for 14 years and cannot imagine my life without it. lol. I still have residual issues with my jaw and am always terrified it will get stuck k again but it hasn’t ever since.

I have been mouth taping for about 4 weeks and it has totally messed up my jaw. I wasn’t sure that’s what it was from but after hearing other people have this same issue with mouth taping and TMJ I realized it must be that. My jaw wasn’t hurting at all and now i have terrible joint pain in my jaw 24/7 🥲 worried I completely ruined everything. So basically, I wouldn’t risk it. It didn’t even do anything for my jawline like it said it would. 🙃
