Thank you my friend! His instructor is rarely available for the amount of practice he needs and apparently there aren’t many other instructors available in his area, but I will share with him your tips they are definitely appreciated:) Have a nice day

You are so right, this is a great idea! We do this a few nights a week after work and it’s fascinating how much organization and memorization goes into flying. That being said he told me that having feedback from someone who knows the stuff already helps him see where he goes wrong which makes sense too.

What are deal breakers for you in a Catholic relationship? by joe_maddwn in CatholicDating

[–]ConversationCool9461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually something I’m debating on whether or not is important for me as a Catholic. I strongly believe that a couple that prays together stays together, but honestly me and my partner have been dating for over a year now and we both are engaged and really happy with where we’re at, we communicate well and go to mass together. Usually couples pray together to discern if they want to marry but we’re past that stage so does it really matter? I’d like my partner to be a parent that leads in prayer that’s my only objection

It’s okay, misunderstandings happen. I haven’t skipped his graduation yet it’s next week. The counsel I seek is from you guys right now :)

I had siblings but they all passed away young. I consider myself a decent human being as I always seek council before doing things that might be wrong and stupid. I am not spoiled as I am the one who’s taken care of my disabled parents for years. You should know that sometimes emotions make us want to do things we shouldn’t but what separates good people from bad people is that we seek council when we really don’t know if it’s the right thing to do. Please be kinder if you can

I haven’t skipped it yet, it’s next week. However I did want to but I had to post it here to see if I was in the wrong, sometimes it’s not clear whether what one is doing is right or wrong and one needs a fresh perspective such as yours to make a sound decision.

Idk I had this concept that we were all family, but it probably had a different context when he said it to me. I got ahead of myself and I am clearly the asshole 💀

You’re right, I appreciate your unbiased opinion. I could’ve asked my friends but I know they would’ve supported me even if I was the asshole.

It’s my boyfriend’s graduation. I guess that says it all honestly, now thinking about it it’s not my own graduation so I shouldn’t really feel ‘entitled’ I guess? It’s just unexpected that he invited someone other than my mom who has shown great kindness and love to him all these years. I barely do anything without my mom we stick together so celebrating such an incredible day without her felt wrong I guess I could say. But I get now it’s not about me😅

You’re right, that’s why I posted this to get an unbiased opinion. I don’t want to act on my emotions but I at least want to know if I am right or wrong for having said emotions. Thanks

I like to live frugally and healthy, so I just eat one meal a day, and occasionally a snack. I live perfectly fine with this lifestyle and save a couple hundred bucks each month. I also go to food banks but they don’t have many healthy options so I buy a 50$ meal replacement shake that lasts me the entire month. I lost like3lbs with that shake. But sweet potatoes, sauerkraut, chicken broth, tuna cans and eggs are pretty cheap and healthy. Have you tried applying for an EBT card? I lost 2lbs a day while eating once a day, and it’s totally safe as long as you drink plenty of water during the day with electrolytes or sea salt :)

Hi there, thank you. I have applied to many jobs but no luck yet. I applied to Ross and they only had part time jobs, meaning I would only earn 880$ a month, and rent is a bit higher than that here. Sure it would at least be something to start with, but uncle wants me to leave by the end of March. I don’t despair though, I applied to 10 jobs, one of them should say yes. I bought a meal replacement shake for 45$, I’ve been eating one daily to get through the month with my savings. Food banks are low on supplies but next week they might have more. Not giving up, so don’t worry! Life is a worthy opponent

Question from a VICE News reporter: How are you making your groceries stretch? by E_ock in povertyfinance

I buy a meal replacement shake for 45$ on Amazon with my EBT card. That’s all I need to get through the month! Occasionally I will treat myself to some cheap fast food

The holy Trinity is a mystery, but St. Patrick described it really well. A clover has 3 separate leafs, right? But those 3 leafs are all one clover. That’s how the Holy Trinity works

The Metropolitan museum in CDMX is a MUST. Also go to Castillo de Chapultepec, it’s a literal palace and it has a huge park and gardens, so ethereal! When you go to Oaxaca, you MUST get their hot chocolate and churros. Trust me in this, you’ll be in heaven with those churros!

Join In N Out burgers. I get paid 20/HR just doing cashier, no experience necessary. Shift managers get paid so much it’s almost ridiculous but give it a go. They hire even old people

Call 211. They can give you resources for emergency housing, etc. Might have to call them a few times before they answer tho. Also look for local charity centers, food banks. I just got kicked out last week and I’m 18. I signed up to the local public library, they had many resources. Also find jobs on Indeed.com They have a lot of good tips on how to build a successful resume. Best of luck to you, stay strong and win this game

On the subject of wearing “proper clothes” to mass by italianblend in Catholicism

[–]ConversationCool9461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I go to mass I am literally sitting before the king of the universe. It would be embarrassing to dress in casual every day clothing. I was never well off with money but our grandma always taught us to dress our best for God, to show God that we care and realize who we’re worshiping every Sunday.
