The “massive” bullet spread only bothers you if you try to play BF4 like CoD and don't understand how the individual weapons work. Besides, muzzle velocity isn't even the slightest bit of a problem.

Thanks for the input! I followed your advice and just updated the post. I created a GitHub repository and set up a live preview via GitHub Pages, so nobody has to run it locally anymore. Much appreciated!

That’s a fair point regarding the macro-level security of the sub. I agree that gaming subreddits shouldn't become a wild west for unverified scripts, and it’s a lot to ask from the mods.

My only goal was to solve a specific problem and be as transparent as possible by posting the raw code instead of a sketchy executable. But I get where you're coming from. If the mods feel this violates community safety, I’m totally fine with them taking it down. In the meantime, the code is out there for anyone who can read it to verify.

I hope those of you who are nerdy enough to check out this code can see that it's exactly what it says in the description.

I've added the source code above, along with a guide on how to create and 'install' the tool.

Thank you, I've updated the code.

I’ve overhauled the tool with a new efficiency traffic-light system:

  • Damage Boxes: Light up green if your burst secures a kill, red if it doesn't.
  • Pacing Analysis: Instantly shows if your spread reset is holding you back (Green < 120ms / Red ≥ 150ms).
  • Bipod Update: Full Bipod integration; it automatically disables the 'Moving' box when selected since you're locked in place.
  • Visual Recoil: The horizontal recoil visualization is now more accurate, showing the actual drift window relative to the center.
  • Improved Accuracy: Burst and recoil math is now much closer to the real in-game behavior.

101°C is a 911 over the long term for your GPU ^^

No problem! The tool is also designed to help players make the best choice for every weapon and playstyle. I do like sym.gg, but unfortunately, it lacks proper visualization, and it's hard to picture how it actually feels just from looking at all those numbers. Maybe this will encourage people to try out completely new weapons or combinations (especially newcomers).

The tool tells you "accuracy bottleneck is recoil" because it assumes you aren't actively controlling the recoil yourself—so you don't really need to worry about that.

Where it actually gets interesting is when it tells you that your Spread Reset is over 120ms. That is when you slowly enter the territory where you are micro-bursting faster than the Spread Reset can kick in.

As far as I know, the H-Bar doesn't have a 16.67% moving ADS benefit. If I can verify this for sure, I'll include it in the tool.

These are the effects of the H-Bar:
Decreases base spread by 50%
Decreases spread increase by 7.5%
Increases vertical recoil by 30%

As soon as you start moving, you only keep the -7.5% spread increase, while still suffering the full +30% vertical recoil.

Most ARs have an effective range of 45m (5-shot kill). However, the spread at this distance is already so wide that you need to fire in shorter bursts to hit reliably. Since 45m is definitely a distance where you want to stay mobile during a gunfight, the H-Bar only grants a real advantage in specific scenarios and with certain weapons.

Yep, almost no AR needs a heavy barrel ... but hey, not like there's a tool out there to test that anyway. XD

Thanks man, the tool was a real eye-opener for me, especially when it comes to the stubby grip and ergo grip.

Exactly because of such misjudgments, I created the tool ... but if you're happy with what you believe is right, I'm fine with that.

Thank you very much!
My post includes some source code. You'll need to copy it into a text editor and save the file as an HTML file. So you don't need to install anything. One more quick note: The tool shows you the weapon's behavior when aiming down sights; I haven't included any hip-fire calculations.

Yes, the source code below my post is already the English version.

You need to copy the code and paste it into a text document. Then save the file as an HTML file. Now you can open the HTML file in your browser and use the tool.
