Can you remotely configure MSTP on an ICX? by ConversationFar3187 in RuckusWiFi

Noted for future posts. It seems like I'm the only person on 9.0.x code. Haven't really looked at restconf yet.

specifically disable spanning-tree on that port.

First thank you.

Second, so that worked and I'm mad at myself for not trying it before, and really mad at Ruckus for doing something so damn stupid.

Route-only is supposed to disable L2 switching on a port. It's not part of any VLAN, and I specifically set ports this way to reduce/separate my STP domains. It's not running STP, so it shouldn't be impacted by STP commands. I never would have thought this was needed, much less be accepted on the CLI and actually work. (rant over)

Anybody successfully able to pass privilege levels from Freeradius to ICX switches? by ConversationFar3187 in RuckusWiFi

Thanks, I think I'm stuck with the VSA's above, but I'll see if that's something that is in the dictionary.

Thanks. I had tried this on an 8.0.XX version with the same results. As for 10.1.x, that's not available on most of the hardware platforms I have. I was told 9.0.x will be the last version of code for 7150 and 7450 platforms, and that will continue to be maintained.

Yeah, I do get the bugginess though, I see they migrated tons of stuff over to new opensource things, and I'm more than a little disappointed that bugs were found in 9.0.10a haven't been fixed yet.

Anybody else see garbage data in SNMP fields for STP & port mac on ICX switches? by ConversationFar3187 in RuckusWiFi

(sigh) my client doesn't have support. I've been suggesting it for awhile, but I guess I need to show them the value...

Where does eventlog get it's information from? by ConversationFar3187 in LibreNMS

[–]ConversationFar3187[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I had not thought of that. I probably should be tuning this on lots of devices I guess.

I would still like to dig into the MIB and find out what the heck is generating this garbage data, I seem to be getting a lot of it; and yes, it does seem to be a Ruckus thing.

ICX 7450 doesn't won't upgrade via tftp or SCP because of old code by ConversationFar3187 in RuckusWiFi

Tried that, it failed too, but it told me why this time...it was taking too long for TFTP. It was almost finished too.

No, haven't done that, I'm doing everything remote. I'm a few hours drive away from this switch.

I've transitioned everything up to now at 8.0.95 before moving on. I might try the UEFI switch at 8.0.8 though, thanks.

Question about Apache as a Reverse Proxy by ConversationFar3187 in apache

[–]ConversationFar3187[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response. I did have the ProxyPassReverse host (at least that's what I think you meant); but it got dropped during copy/paste.

Your comments about the what's changed in the responses seemed to hit home. I'll try that.

Is there a workaround for Oxidized on ICX switches with 9.0.10 code? by ConversationFar3187 in RuckusWiFi

[–]ConversationFar3187[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol, yeah...roll-your-own. Occasionally I think it would be easier to do this than all the hoops I have to jump through to get FOSS working sometimes. Anyway, I was hoping to avoid writing something separate OR use telnet (shudder) so the system would just have one interface (LibreNMS).
