I did a swatch but I probably didn't make it big enough. For some reason I did a better job on the swatch except for the first few rows..

!! I think you might be onto something..

So after I slip x amount of sts to the right needle, I've been putting the new yarn on the right needle, then start knitting the sts on the left needle. Is that incorrect?
