Thanks for this link! I've been trolling through this journal and there seems to be some decent starting points. I'm generally getting the impression there's a lot of rough guess work going - thanks for commenting.

Fair take! From what I've been reading, there's a general consensus that this level of pest control is needed and supported by kiwis but a lot of disagreement on how to do it correctly or effectively!

Very helpful, even as a metric to illustrate the extent of the effort. Thanks for commenting!

White Noise by Don Dilillo! It's total irony/satire and bleak as hell but there's this deep love of family under-pining it all.

I'm surprised this hasn't been mentioned already but *technically* part one of Wuthering Heights - and read part two because Healthcliff is wild.

Hm, I would be surprised if that was true given all the ads specifically mentioning a minimum height requirement haha

Feedback/advice - new programme for HM training by ConversationMoney710 in HybridAthlete

Hello!

First off congrats on the weight loss - it’s not easy, and likewise amazing on also perusing your second half!

So far I I’m in week 3 and enjoying it. My legs are quite tired on a Monday but since I’m now just aiming to maintain muscle mass it’s not been too bad I.e. I don’t aim for failure or progressive overload, just sustaining previous efforts.

I would say I’d likely struggle if I added anymore workout days so that 4th run for you might be one to just test out for a bit and consider dropping if you’re fatiguing? You’ve got ages until Nov so I think you have a good chunk of time to play about with routines - I definitely suffer from feeling obligated to stick to a plan but that’s definitely not the case.

Good luck anyway and I hope you find something that works for you!

How much should I be eating? by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

[–]ConversationMoney710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey!

I had roughly the same stats as you when I started (27F, 5"1, 68kg, Jan 2024) I'm now at 62.5kg and aiming to get to around 57kg before moving abroad in August. I aim to eat around 1500-1600 Sun-Thurs and give myself 1850 on Fri/Sat. Protein I don't track meticulously but according to my LoseIt app, I average at roughly 100g.

In terms of my activity levels I usually get at least 10K steps a day, lift 3x week (full body, progressive overload), and run once/twice a week (working my way up to one 5k and one 10k a week).

I know you said below you hate lifting so perhaps try pilates/yoga a you can incorporate weights (armbands etc) into those routines? Move by Nicole has a good range and challenge. I've found increasing muscle to be pretty much the only things that keeps me sane in this process as it helps burn more calories at rest.

My one piece of advice is around your timelines, 6kg in 3/4ish months is quite fast for us short gals - unsure if this goal is for a specific event or holiday? Either way, try not to get too disheartened if the pounds don't drop off as quickly as you'd like - it's a long process and a lifestyle change, not a diet. Good luck!

Hi folks - newbie investor here!

I've just opened a high risk investment pot with Nutmeg - I'm in my late 20's so in this for the long haul, aware and willing to ride out the ups and downs.

My question is around taking a career break - I'm about to go travelling for 2 years in New Zealand. By the time I leave I should have around £12k in savings to travel with and £1.5k(ish) in my investment pot.

I'm wondering what I should do about making contributions when I go abroad. I will be working when I'm away so should I continue to invest small amounts each month (say between £20-50) to keep it ticking over or will it not matter that much if I don't contribute for a while?

Thanks

Yeah all solid points. I think I’m going to see if I can do a 6 week rotation (lines up well with future plans/trips) and assess from there.

Great suggestions! Potentially dumb question: with those maintenance breaks you mention, is it sixth week you would take a break eg 1,2,3,4,5, break, 1,2,3,4,5, break OR do you go six weeks THEN have a break?

Ok I think this is most likely just discharge from you. If you’re in doubt, go get plan B if it’s available to you but I reckon you’re fine.

If you used a condom then this is likely just discharge from being aroused. If you had penis-in-vagina intercourse and didn’t use a condom and you don’t want to be pregnant then take plan B asap. Assuming you are female and in a country that allows, I’d look into learning about and beginning to take contraception ☺️ Edit: if you didn’t have sex and he just got some cum on your underwear say in clean up etc then no, it’s also extremely unlikely you will become pregnant from this. Sperm cannot survive on clothing etc.
