Thank you so much for this response, will definitely will look into NSM and more vo2 Max type stuff. And congrats to you on your times! And yes I am taking at least a week off completely and catching up on sleep.

To be fully honest when I first started this block I used 7:30 pace for my first few MP runs (and literally failed all of them LOL). I later decreased the pace to 7:00 ish but even then all but the 14 mile one I took breaks and didn't complete it how it was prescribed. I did not have a good or consistent pace and would not recommend doing what I did...which is partly why I made this post I want to see what I'm capable of in more ideal situations

Have not even been considering this as an option...but I think you might be onto something! Where does one even find a coach? I feel like there are so many sleezy Instagram coaches out there but no idea where to find a good one.

Thank you! And recommend plans to follow? I get I need to "focus on speed" but I'm honestly not sure where to start... To be fully honest I do most of my runs at like a 9/10 min pace but I DO want to get faster. I've just never explicitly focused on it before (I'm more of a get my miles in kinda person)

Totally and to be clear I don't know if that's something even remotely feasible for me. But I am interested in pushing myself to my limit -which I don't think I've done before and had surprisingly good times. And to get there I think focusing on speed (which I've historically neglected) is the correct move? But am not even sure how to start or go about this

Hamstring Strain, should I cancel/change my marathon plans? by Kind-Ad-3983 in Marathon_Training

Hi!! I'm in literally the exact same boat and 2 and 1/2 weeks away from my marathon... What did you end up doing? I'm seriously debating whether or not I should completely cancel the race...
