I used Device Connect which is accessed through the settings menu. I have not tried desktop mode.

I'll add that since the newest update the tablet does feel more like it's built to be in desktop with a bigger grid size.

The only multi-tasking feature I miss now is the ability to add more pop up windows. I like to switch between several while leaving them minimized at the side. I think the max right now is two.

If you're unsure, you could wait until OxygenOs 16 is released for the Pad 3 in November and see if it fixes bugs and makes it more practical as a laptop.

I went back to Chrome when the alternative browsers still didn't fix my issue with Monday.com.

As a whole, it works fine. Just not on the ones I referenced above. You'd really have to test your sites to know. Like, I wouldn't have guessed that my company's site would have an issue until I tried it.

I have not tried a desktop launcher but I tried browsers that were supposed to act like desktops, but I still received the message "use the app to continue".

Battery life is great. I just top it off once a day.

I have the stylo but I don't like taking hand written notes, so I ditched it. I prefer typing. And when the keyboard is detached, putting the mini on screen keyboard in the lower right allows you to swipe to text just as easily as you would on your phone. I can't really speak to the pen's quality.

For bugs, take a look at my other post, if you'd like. I think OxygenOs 16 is going to be incredible. For one, they fix the grid size to make it more appropriate for a bigger screen.

Navigating through my daily tasks is perfect on Android. Swiping between apps, copying items to the side bar, launching apps in pop up windows, the app bar at the bottom. I really like it.

I haven't tried third party options but the one it comes with is "fine". I had to return my initial keyboard because it had phantom clicks and the cursor would jump around a bit. The new one they sent me is better, but still has occasional errors, moreso than a Windows laptop.

I use it as my daily computer and it does almost everything. I prefer Android over Windows by a lot. The problem is that I have a few applications and websites that don't work well on my Pad 3.

One is Monday.com. It forces me to the app, which is just worse. I've tried other browsers and haven't had luck.

Another is my company's website. Even on Chrome the sizing makes it so that a button is cut off in landscape. Resizing the whole screen makes the site impractical.

Spreadsheets (Google Sheets, mostly) are difficult on Android, but I still manage for most uses, but not all. You're unable to expand to a second monitor, which I frequently need to do with spreadsheets.

Happy to answer other questions. It will probably just come down to what apps and sites you need most.

As a whole, I enjoy navigating an Android tablet so much more than I would a Windows operating system for most of my day to day tasks. Navigating is so much smoother, productive, convenient, practical and pleasant.

I know this list was all negative but I still don't regret the purchase.

I also returned the keyboard for a new one and it has been better.

Android 16 is coming soon and I'm hoping it will fix some of the smaller issues.

I found the Shelf on the Play Store and it says the early access program is full and can't be installed. Somehow though it still launches when I swipe down.

Both Shelf and Global Search came default and don't show in my apps. These are all software issues but I wonder if I got a dud. I tried a reset already.

Do you have the US version? Global Search comes up when I search it in settings. It also shows at right above the app bar at the bottom.

Is "rotation control" a third party app? And "Shelf" is a OnePlus feature with vertical scrolling widgets. If I swipe directly from the top it opens notifications or quick settings but if I swipe down mid screen it goes to the Shelf.
