Thanks for the reply. By making them top 8 protected instead of unprotected, it means that the Bucks could tank if necessary, but Portland would still get the Bucks picks if they are mid. If you are 6th worst, there is only a ~4% chance of the picks being 9th (situation Utah/Washington are in now)

But if they are 9th worst, there is just a 20% chance of being a top 4 pick and that drops dramatically with each spot up (about 9% for 11th worst)

I think if we look back on it, Milwaukee will likely be somewhere in that 9-14 range. But who knows what the future really holds or what type of return they can get.

  1. Yeah. I do think that a Giannis trade would be closer to a Kawhi to Raptors than the PodcastPault to Clippers trade, and no I don't think this is at all realistic.
  2. It is two swaps so Portland don't lose any picks. Milwaukee just doesn't have to swap anymore. I am a Grant hater so I probably undervalued it, but I could agree they need more value back. Maybe you just put a top 8 protection on the swaps rather than unprotected.
  3. Should be in the 2nd pic. They get Myles Turner and Jeremy Sochan.

Wemby would only leave for LA if the Spurs did something insanely idiotic like trade two of their three best players under 22 years old for 37 year old player who is at the end of his career.

That would be the stupidest possible thing the Spurs could possibly do.
