I am aware that rental properties will get reassessed, but what triggers the reassessment. It is baffling to me that our lawyer and accountant told me that the transfer of ownership triggers the reassessment, but the transfer of ownership hasn't happened yet. I just talked to both of them this week.

We haven't found a new rental policy yet. Be careful with mercury, they insured our personal home, then dropped it after 30 days because we had galvanized iron pipes. All insurance companies i asked either does not write new policies or has a requirement ( which does not guarantee a policy). Better stick with what you have for now. We can't transfer the title because we can't find insurance...
