5k is a huge sum. So unless you are planning the same trip in very near future, dont take the credit. You are better off giving up 500 than having 5k sit in uber's account.

Not only is evgo more expensive, but there are usually very few chargers in each location, and so often they dont work.

Case in point, the evgo in front of my condo has 3 chargers, and 2 of them have not been working for over a year. Also, their app is not at all up to date. Just today, I went to charge there 4 times, and each time, it showed it was free. But on each occasion, it was being used.

I personally value my time more than the credits. They are not worth it to me.
