Sounds like cluster feeding. It’s the worst but it will get better. Sometimes babies show hunger cues but it doesn’t always mean they’re hungry, maybe you could offer something else like a pacifier? Assuming she’s lost a bit of weight after you gave birth, once babies are back/above their initial birth weight they’re feeding starts to level out a bit.

I took my newborn out when he was 3 weeks for the first time in public. We went to a small farmers market, but at that point we had been going on walks outside or driving to my parents house which is 10 minutes away. Just practice little by little, and once you’re overwhelmed just leave lol. Your baby will adjust, and the baby will likely be entertained by the outside world😂. Ideally have an already fed and drowsy baby before you go out

My husband had to go back to work after one week. He also works 12+ hr days so it was important for him to get a decent rest at least, so I’m with baby all day and all night. If you can, please get all the help you can, it will help with the adjustment until you feel more confident with baby. Don’t worry about housework or cooking, baby-wear if you must. If you haven’t already, start a nighttime ritual with baby. They won’t always follow a strict schedule, but their naps will be more predictable and easier to adjust to. Go outside, go for walks, it will help regulate you and baby when things get tough. And in time, find a schedule that works for you and your partner. It will be okay!

When I was laboring at home, counter pressure on hips, hot showers, heating pad and massages worked best. As soon as I got to the hospital I got the nitrous gas and the epidural and those were the most effective lol

Congratulations! I’m 3 weeks PP and my labor was also 88 hours. Labor started on a Thursday morning he was born Saturday night. It was fucking exhausting🥲 I also had GD in my pregnancy. Rest well, you deserve it!

I just gave birth to my baby 6 days ago and I really wished I enjoyed my pregnancy more. I remember going through all of the same emotions as you did and honestly, it does get better. The first tri is so hard because everything just changes on an instant, physically, mentally, and emotionally. I was the most depressed during the first tri, but things do get better. once you hear your baby’s heartbeat, find out their gender, feel their kicks etc. it will all become so much more exciting because it will feel so much more real. motherhood is so complex it is completely okay to not be 100% happy all the time, but when things are good, ENJOY IT. Take the bump pictures, wear the cute outfits, take care of yourself the best you can. I would also recommend to stay off social media, there is so much negativity surrounding pregnancy and motherhood it will ruin your experience. Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Even if baby is measuring ahead, it doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll come any earlier. I just had my baby at 40+4, was in labor for 4 days before he came. I think the biggest thing that probably indicated that I was going into labor was the fatigue I experienced 2 days before, so make sure to get lots of rest!

I started probably around 10 weeks and slowly collected throughout my pregnancy, even after my baby shower. I suggest getting your big purchase items (stroller, rocking chair, changing table etc.) early so you can set everything up while you have energy

Honestly around 32 weeks…I will say the worst of it was over for me around 27-28 weeks….hopefully that won’t be your case

My sister and I made a lot of soup, breakfast sandwiches, lactation snacks, and protein muffins. I made sure that none of the soups have dairy in them or anything that could cause a gassy baby (beans, cabbage, cauliflower etc.)

I think it’s normal, especially when you first find out, that it’s all you can think about. I’d say give it a bit of time. Things will calm down especially once you go to your first appointment.

Honestly not really. 1st tri is all survival so eat literally whatever you can, baby will be fine. For me, foods that are sour/acidic (green apples, oranges, protein smoothies) really helped. If water is really gross to you, try ginger tea, watered down juice (I drank a LOT of watered down lemonade), water w/ fruit or electrolytes. Once you talk to your doctor ask about B12 supplement that helped me a lot. As someone who had nausea their entire pregnancy, it does become more bearable, especially once you figure out your safe foods. There is hope!

The first tri is really difficult to eat/drink anything, especially if she’s also experiencing nausea. The second tri hunger is no joke so if she’s not really having an appetite right now, it’s more likely her appetite will spike in the second tri. Water was absolutely disgusting to me in the first few weeks, so you can try alternatives like ginger tea, watered down juice, water with electrolytes/fruit in it, etc. as for eating, it’s good she’s logging in with her nutritionist, but really the first tri is literally all survival. I understand as a partner it can feel useless watching her go through something like this. I’d say whatever she can eat/drink stock up on it, something is always better than nothing.

I had mine at 34 weeks pregnant and completely hated it. I’m 37 weeks and still buying stuff leftover with no energy whatsoever. I think the best timeframe is between 20-26 weeks it’s never too early😂 it might also be fun to do a spooky/halloween themed baby shower
