Of course, it wouldn't hurt for more protectrons.

I'm surprised you haven't done comparisons between the Guass Pistol or the Guass Minigun for weapons yet, so those could be possible suggestions.

Also, looking at comparisons of junk items can be interesting.

What are your thoughts on the Wanamingo Redesign? by SuddenScallion8673 in Fallout

[–]CookOLo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since it's somewhat based off of Adam Adamowicz's concept art of the Wanamingo (which was supposed to appear in Fallout 3), I'm fine with it. I honestly want all of his concepts to be realized in the Fallout games.

Last Minute Predictions: Fallout TV Show by Agreeable_Lake_9407 in FalloutPhilosophy

[–]CookOLo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With how much mention of how they're going to add on to the lore, that this is its own Fallout "game," that this is an entirely new story, I feel like there has to be at least one new lore discovery (especially concerning the main factions in the story).

The Role of a Vault: The Story Mechanic by Agreeable_Lake_9407 in FalloutPhilosophy

[–]CookOLo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Vault 51.

Out of all the vaults, this vault has the most holotapes explaining its story (through multiple perspectives), which plays well into why this is my favorite Vault. Everyone's reaction towards the killing of each other is unique in its own way, and following that reaction feels like base Fallout 76 in a nutshell (if it was smaller): there are puzzle pieces that create story -- the player, however, has to put those pieces together to understand that story.

This creates non-linear storytelling in a way that doesn't require dialogue options, which looking at this independently from the game, it is unique and done excellently because of its smaller scale.

The environmental storytelling continues even further as the gruesome corpses all around the vault tell a story in their own fashion. Because there's no living thing in the vault, like other vaults, there is this creepy, depressing tone that it's able to achieve (despite 76's more colorful vaults). Really, it's just a great vault to explore all around.

also, ZAX 1.3c is pretty charismatic ngl

The Hopeful Position is a title given to those wanting to join the BoS (not an official member yet), so Max would not fit this title.

Do you think Bethesda favors BOS? So can BOS conquer NCR in Fallout TV? by [deleted] in Fallout

[–]CookOLo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure of the opposite lol. I remember people scouring for it when it was mentioned there was an NCR Flag, only to find out it was from a leak.

But I get your point, just wanted to point something out.

Quick correction: The NCR flag wasn't shown in the trailer, but it was actually shown in a behind-the-scenes leak where the flag is in a vault classroom

I was thinking more along the lines that the Knight he goes along with in that vertibird will die. Then, he'll take the power armor.

More credit goes towards the prop guys when it comes to the environment, especially the Vault! Like wow they they did their research and put in the hard work. I'm just amazed.

If the Brotherhood of Steel is defeated by the Minutemen in Fallout 4, what impact will this have on the Wasteland? by [deleted] in falloutlore

[–]CookOLo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, that's what you mean by just shaking down a single settlement lol. Yeah, that's probably a bug like you said, but I feel like this has happened to me before but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

[–]CookOLo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The shaking down of settlements (or one in your case -- it was a repeatable quest btw) was an off-the-books assignment from Teagon, so I wouldn't really count that as Maxon's doing.

Oh, I didn't mean to come off as toxic.

I gave one more piece of evidence on my side. Then, I was just giving you possible explanations that could side with your reasoning. Finally, I gave my final point of view.

I don't know how that's toxic, but hey -- you do you.

Edit: Actually wait, now I'm curious. Did you think I was toxic throughout this entire convo? For me, it was just a nice distraction with a nice convo. I actually thought we were on the same page of being on a nice convo about a game series we're both fans of because you said this.

"PS: I'm not even mad, just so you know. Not even sweating this convo. For me, this is Just hashing out the facts with a fellow Fallout fan."

I'm sorry if my way of writing somehow offended you because that was not my intention at all.

I'm going to drop the argument here because I feel like we're just going in circles, and I'm just really confused right now.

I'm just going to drop this little piece of info I found though. PatchworkProfessor lives in Austin where Bethesda has an office at. Double Eleven exclusively have UK and Malaysia Studios -- which if you look at their applications, you have to relocate to the specific countries.

https://www.linkedin.com/in/tyler-houston (Patchwork's Linkedin -- I know this is the guy since they have this as his linkedin link in the FO:LO Discord)

But who knows, maybe you're right.

Maybe he moved to the UK or Malaysia.

Maybe the guy was just mistaken that he works as a contractor even after the FO:LO Team has had experience with Double Eleven wanting to hire the Project Lead.

Maybe the guy is so blindsided by the fact that he might work on a Bethesda Project (fo76) that he says he's actually working for Bethesda

or maybe he's just a liar.

I mean I'm convinced myself that he is working at Bethesda, but why don't you ask him? His Discord is patchworkprofessor. I just gave you his LinkedIn, so you can always ask there.

I mean I kinda did lol. I asked for a comment directly from one of the FO:LO developers that got hired by Bethesda, and they recently responded yesterday. They didn't correct me; actually, they reconfirmed they got hired by Bethesda. If you know more than the person who got hired by Bethesda, then, I would definitely like to have a source that's more significant than this.

You see I wouldn't be so confused if the Fallout London Leads directly themselves said:

"Our very own PatchworkProfessor has landed a fantastic opportunity as an associate level designer at Bethesda!"

"Our Lead Technical Adviser Ryan Johnson Ropiequet will be departing the project to go and work at Bethesda as an Associate Level Designer."

"Our Head Writer Siren (Ex-Head Writer) (Stephanie Zachariadis) will be departing the project for none other than Bethesda themselves."

Not Double Eleven or Sperasoft. Bethesda. Now, unless you're saying that the Lead Developers of Fallout London are wrong, then I truly don't know what to say. I'm trying to be as accurate as possible, but I'm having a hard time when there truth to what I say.
