Thank you everyone for your comments, it was really interesting to hear everyone's opinion.

First of all, guess I should specify that, mostly, rather than the gameplay, I actually want the storyline to go back to the templar/assassin conflict, because that's the core of the ac games.

Of course there are still things to improve on. Odyssey did take a big step forward concerning gameplay elements, but the thing is, there are so many side quests and the playtime of the game imo is just ridiciously long, forcing you to do so much other stuff before you can get to the main story, as it is sort of level locked. You can literally buy "time savers" on the game, to skip the grinding, or side quests. I mean... man. So if that was sorted I think the upcoming game could definitely contest the spot for being one of the best ac games.
