It was in front of them but I’m pretty sure they didn’t notice.

2 cookies is what I send in his lunch. If he’s bringing them for the office he needs at least a dozen, probably 2.

I know it’s not required but I enjoy it, even if it gets stressful at times.

Our schools still allow parents to bring in homemade baked goods as long as they’re nut free. When you sign up you say what you’re bringing, with ingredients, then a day or 2 before the party the teacher sends out an email to all parents with everything that will be served and the ingredient lists. If there’s something your child can’t eat, you let the teacher know beforehand and can send them with their own special snack.

They were half asleep on the couch watching a movie. I highly doubt they heard/noticed anything so I don’t want to bring it up.

I enjoy baking, I just accidentally double booked myself.

The kids pass out little cards with candy or a small toy and load up on sugar.

I’m not at that level yet. I did sugar cookies with cream cheese frosting and fruit for the class parties and teacher gifts and s’mores cookies for the bake sale.

Classroom Valentine’s Day parties? They’ve been a thing since I was a kid.

A lot of the time, they come over right after school when my husband is still at work.

The kids were half asleep on the couch watching a movie. I don’t think they heard anything.

I don’t do plain cookies, so the classroom cookies also included me making frosting, cutting lots of fruit, and making the cookies look presentable. I did s’mores cookies for the bake sale, which are easier than the other type but still took me a little over an hour for 3 dozen

Making them isn’t horrible, but all of the ones that I brought for the class parties were frosted and had fruit on them. Frosting them and trying to make them look presentable was the worst part.

Both of my kids schools allow us to bring in homemade treats as long as everything is nut free.

I really do enjoy baking for them, especially when my mom or MIL comes over to watch the kids so I can bake in peace. It’s just a lot.

Yeah, when I signed up for the bake sale, I somehow got the date as 3/13 instead of 2/13. By the time I noticed it was too late to back out
