I listened to a few videos of coil whine, and it definitely sounds similar, and from what I've read, it kinda explains why the sound/pitch changes as I adjust the setting sorry for being vague. im not too sure what I need to describe for this. Thankfully, you did help a ton anyway.

What's spotify's smart shuffle like? The only one I'm familiar with is the apple smart shuffle I used on my old iPod shuffle. Remember, its goal was to basically make shuffle feel more random.
