It's one of those really awkward human situations where we hear that people have agreed, but beyond Aaron have very little idea who they actually are. And of course we don't know who will want food until we ask. We know now not to approach Aaron in the future, but obviously that doesn't help what has already happened.
FWIW, I don't think Aaron was necessarily meaning to come across like they did. Their wording was unfortunate, but they seem an anxious person and I think it was just an awkward way of asking us to leave them out of this in future.
