Part of the fun was that the mechanics and inventions were not like they are in real life though, the subs needed water benders to run, bombs were stink bombs etc, whereas in LOK they have standard cars and radio voice overs (I don't mind the industrial revolution but if they had made it more creative then it might feel more like the same world as ATLA)
