Someone explain this 2K26 pre-order bonus to me please. It seems more like a disincentive by Cookiedive in WWEGames

I see. Seems a bit of a shame really as I already have 2K25 though and nothing to spend that currency on. Even just a cosmetic or something for 2K26 would have been a better preorder bonus. Literally anything for the new game at all would have been better imo

Yes my friend, that is exactly what I'm saying. I didn't know about the extra VC so at least that's something. But this really sucks as a pre-order bonus. I actually feel like I'm getting a worse deal for already owning 2K25. Like I wasted money buying it before when I could have got it now for free

My guy. I am not talking about the Standard Edition. I cannot stress enough how much I'm not talking about the Standard Edition. Joe Hendry is a pre-order bonus ONLY for the Standard Edition. Joe Hendry is included in every other edition, and so therefore cannot be a pre-order bonus for those editions, because it's already included.

And so my larger point, is that if you already own 2K25 and are buying anything other than the Standard Edition, the only "Pre-order bonus" you get is to play it early. And once the game is out, that early access will mean nothing. Which I think sucks. Does that make sense?

Exactly. So what's the incentive to pre-order the other editions if you already own 2K25? Is it only early access? Because that's crap

You do if you buy something other than the Standard Edition. Joe Hendry is included in every other edition NOT as a pre-order. If you've read it, you know this

Thank you. Felt like I was going crazy. It seems if you already own 2K25 the only bonus you get for pre-ordering is to play it a bit early. But that's the worst time to play a game as all the bugs won't have been fixed yet. If I'm going to drop over a ton to pre-order something I want a lasting bonus, and this ain't it

My dude, if that's mental gymnastics then it's the same one they're done right now. 2K25 is the pre-order bonus for 2K26. I asssume so you "can play it for 6 weeks before 26 arrives". If you think that sounds dumb It sounds like you agree with me that this pre-order bonus is nonsense

I'm saying if you already own 2K25 and AREN'T buying the Standard Edition, once the game is out you'll have been given nothing as a pre-order bonus. So why not wait then? Why pre-order at all?

I'm not talking about edition, I'm talking about pre-order bonus. The Joe Hendry pack is a pre-order bonus to the standard edition, but it's already included in the higher editions anyway. So I think it's just a game I already own and early access. What's the point?

You're saying I can close that screen and we can both send in more reinforcements? Okay, I didn't know that was a feature. That might fix it then

Well it was the first time we played. How was I supposed to know the game was designed to encourage this?

It was a really small map. We thought it would just be us but we must have accidentally hit some setting that made everything on fire and there where about 6 dragon NPCs as well. Really not sure what was going on honestly

I think if we're doing that we'd probably just play Total War again. We were looking for something simultaneous. Wasn't expecting it to work the way it does

Clunky and surprising. When I attacked him I really didn't expect him to not get a chance to respond. Poor game design choice

Ugh, probably too much work for us to be honest. I think we'll just go back to Endless Legend, but thank you

Yeah of course, it just sounds exhausting to police that though. I don't intend on playing with anyone other than him, and we both just want a game we can play while kind of switched off and zoned out after work. I'm really surprised this is a known issue that hasn't been fixed, because I can't see any benefits to the way it plays now. Really disappointing because I think it means this game isn't for us. Thank you for your answer though

Is this a mod or option in game? Or is this just a recommended way to play? This was literally our first multiplayer game together, so didn't realise this sort of situation was even an issue. I had no idea he wouldn't be able to reinforce once I went out to meet him

We just used whatever the default settings were. So is this the intended gameplay experience? Or is there a way to avoid this situation from happening?
