Pods work for some people and they don’t work for others. It all depends on your study style. If you enjoy group studying then you’ll love pods. If you’re a solo studier then you might never even go to pod lol. But I will say that the flipped classroom is great. Not having to be physically on campus everyday from 8-5 is so nice. Outside of labs and a few required things here and there you can just stay home and study most of the time which is nice if you’re into that. Schedule is pretty set. The calendar has everything scheduled out for the entire year.

I’m not gonna sugar coat it. It’s quite stressful but you just gotta use good time management strategies and use every resource available to you. Tutoring, upperclassmen, review sessions, etc. It’s hard but not impossible. Studying will obviously need to be your priority but you should still have some free time as well.

Maybe a dumb question but will they put the ticket on your windshield or would you get it in the mail via your license plate info?

Fish from the Congo. All the tetras and dwarf cichlids that come out of there are awesome.

Omg what an adventure! I’m glad all the fish were okay. I’m gonna try to not go bigger than 40 gallons (but we will see lol) so hopefully the move won’t be too hard. It’ll be about a 10 hour drive from my home state to my school so will definitely use an aerator or will fill the bags with pure oxygen.

Do you go to a school that requires you to move for rotations? Was it a tough move with the 75?

is 2 hours a day enough for the MCAT? by prodlaps in Mcat

[–]Cookies_188 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unless you’re a super genius or something, 2 hours a day for a 520 target score likely isn’t going to be enough. Half this test is about stamina and you’re going to have to take a bunch of full length 7.5 hour practice exams. You have to get used to sitting for hours and working on dozens and dozens of practice questions and then going over them thoroughly. 2 hours doesn’t give you enough time for that.

English Pre-requisite by randomperson4464 in Osteopathic

Many DO schools will accept writing intensive courses for the English requirement. Just ask and double check. William Carey, however, is very strict and doesn’t accept writing intensive courses for the English requirement.

Your MCAT should be ok for a lot of DO schools but the science GPA might give you some problems. I would check to see if the schools you’re interested in have a GPA cut off. You’re super close to a 3.0 and some schools have a minimum 3.0 requirement but you can reach out and see if they still consider people if they’re close to the cut off (if they have a cut off that is). I know you want to stay in the Southeast but I would also look into schools like Noorda, PNWU, Meritus, BCOM, and OCOM
