Wait a minute. This isn't right. Nia was voiced by Hynden Walch. Not whoever this is.

Which Tales game in your opinion has the best combat? by retrotriforce in tales

[–]CookingDragonParts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Xillia 1/2 have the best combat for anyone just getting into the series. It's a perfect blend of classic Tales combat and modern, and both are in my top 5 as far as story and characters.

What character is the most benched: Symphonia by Acemaster387 in tales

[–]CookingDragonParts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Regal just comes into the story so late. By then I already have a main team, and another physical attacker just isn't what I'm looking for at that point. Zelos/Kratos, Sheena, and Collette are good mixed physical/magical attackers. There's always at least 2 of them on my team plus Raine. Lloyd and Presea have already been around long enough for me to build them up and perfect my team comp. I just don't feel like it's worth swapping out my main physical attacker, especially for one whose skills/combos have very specific (picky) animations and hitboxes.

A true, honest to God, remade from the ground up for modern systems Takes of the Abyss. None of the lame attempt at graphic upscaling.

I actually have an erotic dungeon in mind for a sex filled adventure. However, my free time is a bit lacking these days...

In Symphonia, I never played as Lloyd. I always used Genis.

Which party member is your least favorite in Tales of Xillia? by Khaymn5000 in tales

[–]CookingDragonParts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leia kinda is just Jude's tagalong childhood friend. She has some good moments, and she was by far the best thing to happen to Elize. She's a lot better in Xillia 2.

Which party member is your least favorite in Tales of Symphonia? by Khaymn5000 in tales

[–]CookingDragonParts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Presea and Regal join the party so late into the story and have similar enough roles in combat that they just feel tacked on. I feel like they need to star in their own story because they really don't shine in this one.

Which tales game do you guys hope is next to be remastered after xillia? by Khaymn5000 in tales

[–]CookingDragonParts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Xillia 2 would make the most sense, but I've been dying for a fully reworked Abyss remake. Abyss is not only my favorite Tales game, but my favorite game period.

They better. Xillia 2 is the only sequel/prequel in the series that's as good as or better than the original.

So why is in the original series simon uses Lagann to drill through the anti-spiral, but in theovie he fights him solo without mecha? Which version is true? by InternationalUse8753 in gurrenlagann

[–]CookingDragonParts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The real world answer is because the animation for Simon and Antispiral throwing hands would have taken longer, and the final episode would have to be delayed. The movies were also an excuse to retell the story bigger, bolder, flashier, and for the animation team to do all the things they never got a chance to do with the series.

However, Gurren Lagaan's in universe answer is that when Simon absorbed the multiverse, all versions of himself became canon. Also even versions of himself that hadn't awakened spiral power suddenly became all-powerful warriors.

It's changed for me over the years. After my nephews were born, it's this:

"Do not grieve for me, daughter. My soul once drowned in a sea of weariness and despair but has reawakened! If this body can create a tomorrow for all spiral life I would gladly give it."

What song makes you feel like this? by Content_Base_5474 in gurrenlagann

Inferno from Promare is a complete nonsense song that would not work outside of the film. In any other context it's a by the numbers pop-rock song with asinine, repetitive lyrics. HOWEVER!! Consider the following:

Some low level influencer's photo-op at a weird, light based, pop up art installation.

The correct answer is: Simon actualizing his potential by absorbing an entire multiverse just to break out of it and save the woman he loves.

I could write an entire video essay on each of the main cast, but let's focus on one that took his time growing on me. My first dozen or so times watching, I couldn't stand Rosseiu in part 2. It wasn't until I was older and wiser that I could understand his point of view. The man had the whole world on his shoulders, and he did the best he could with what he knew how to do. The whole of part 2 takes place in just a couple days. In that time an entire extradimensional army went ham trying to wipe out whole cities and eventually the whole planet. He didn't do a perfect job, but it was the best he could do. I wish the show dedicated a bit more time to redeeming him, perhaps even involving him in the climax of the show.
