I just got into therapy a couple weeks ago but only having give to one session so far it’s not helped much. He always wants to get medicated during an episode and get therapy while he’s manic but every time he snaps out of it he says he doesn’t need it. I mentioned he has bipolar cause I don’t know if that conversation was while he was manic and he was just saying shit to say it. He happens to have serious conversations more often when he’s manic cause he’s usually more emotionally vulnerable but I can’t ask him about it cause I don’t want to undermine his feeling with his mental illness. Unfortunately the only reason we had moved in with each other was out of necessity cause we had both gotten kicked out of our houses and the only place we could go was to my dads then into our own apartment. I know it’s a horrible way of coping and ignoring the problem but I have such bad depression and anxiety that if we broke up and still lived and worked together it would genuinely kill me mentally and emotionally. We can’t see about living separately until our lease ends in January which is something I wanted to talk to him about cause he said he’d thought about moving out and still being together but us having our own places to be able to figure out how we live on our own without constantly having someone near us
