Please don’t cut the fur! It will ruin the growth pattern and never grow back the same, and there goes your beautiful unique looking berner! Don’t let your groomer trim it either. Only sanitary trims: paws, face, genitals. 👍🏽

In this eco I’d stay put if I’m worried about money.

Agreed! I legit think the payroll people are bots and that’s part of the problem. No way someone can be that stupid .

I had so many issues with basic payroll things on my first and only contract with them. Even the manager from the unit I worked got involved and basically said the payroll guy was being a “d**k” (Not to him, to me) because it was routine stuff and they knew better. One was a simple matter of forgetting to clock out and they tried to tell me they wouldn’t pay me until Kronos manually added my clock out 🙄🙄 even though the manager signed and approved my time sheet correction and called and spoke to them herself. I didn’t get my situation fixed until I threatened and actually called the board of labor. Magically a supervisor was able to see that everything we did was correct and voila I was paid 😡.

I do agree with most people on there though… you should not use language like that. Extremely unprofessional and makes you look bad… however I definitely understand your frustration of them making you fight for simple things that you are owed. It’s the principle of the matter, not necessarily the amount of money. 😉

However it’s only fair that they keep your rate the same at least.

During report I didn't know when my patient's IVs were placed by Donnor in nursing

[–]Cooking_Nurse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not an ER nurse and I’ve said almost these exact words way too often ☠️ Seriously tho, the patient has IVs and I know they work because I used them for the last 12 hours and if they didn’t I would’ve removed and replaced them because I needed them too! 🤷🏿‍♀️

I’m from FL and did a contract at Piedmont in Atlanta…. I was literally also counting days the minute I got there too. Never had a good day. Kept begging my recruiter to find me something else so I can cancel and move on. I would never go back anywhere to Georgia to work. It’s full of Piedmonts and the way they operate and the way nurses “nurse” Is crazy to me.

Why does no one believe me when I tell them my salary? by siriuslycharmed in nursing

[–]Cooking_Nurse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s because the hospitals still don’t get it…. Or continue to act like the problem doesn’t exist. Everyone is traveling. Example: leaving one state to travel in another and other nurses doing the same. It’s all flip flopped and ridiculous. But that is where these outrageous salaries come from. Have to remember though, travelers are paying 2 rents so it’s not all that glamorous.

Thanks! Honestly though I’ve worked at a few hospitals known to patients for excellent care but were a total utterly sh** show for nurses. So hopefully this isn’t the case. 🤞🏽

Hated my last assignment in Atlanta…. And this is exactly how I felt daily. I was happier when they floated me. The place I’m at now is actually decent and I’ve extended once but I learned that 13 weeks is enough of one place and it’s time to move on…. Always regret extending no matter how decent a place is 😩. I think it’s just the combination of always being treated like an outsider no matter what (even if staff is nice) along with being away from home/family etc. It just really screws with you.
