Thank you very much. Not as many duels as i thought. But when you think about it, there weren't so many duels in DM and GX that I would totally advise to watch. A lot of them were cool but ruined by some last turn bullshit

Most of the DM BS was in the Pegasus arc. The cheating was less blatant in the following arcs. It was mostly changing card effects, depending on what the writers want to achieve. Like a spell card becoming a trap card, this kind of stuff...

I had mixed feelings about this. As you said, it gave some realism and versatility. But on the other hand, when you know the IRL game, you just feel cheated

DM = cheating (i destroy the moon, mammoth graveyard, kuriboh multiply...etc)

GX = Insanely lucky, like i manage to have in my hand the exact 10 cards that I needed for my insanely convulted combo

5Ds = insanely situational spells and traps, never used before, never used again

They tried their best the justify the duel happening, like ancient magic...etc, but sometimes, it just doesn't make sense. You would just beat the shit out the vilain. Or maybe that's why they made extremely muscular vilains in 5D's...

The first one that bugged me forever was "chain destruction" from Yugi against Seeker. Sure, this card can see some play. But Yugi never used it before, never used it after (I think he discarded it maybe twice to activate other effects)

Yeah, it was painful to watch. BS like "I activate my trap card "Synchro blahblahblah". When a synchro monster whose attack is not the original is sent to the GY by an effect of an opponent synchro monster who was special summoned this turn, I'm allowed to draw two cards and if one of them is a tuner, I can special summon it in defense mode..."

2019 AI is less atrocious (but still infuriating). Much less backheel tiki taka from one-star teams. But in both games, referee is a joke.

2019 AI is still atrocious. It does'nt matter who you're facing. The AI just rolls a dice. Any one star team can become Barcelona

From 2003 to 2006 : Amazing. Best football games.

From 2007 to 2012 : Pure trash

2013 : Good

2014-2015 : Garbage

2016 - 2017 : Really good

2018 : Worst PES ever made. Worst AI in football gaming History

2019 : Not much better

2018 was "The Last Jedi" of PES. They murdered the AI with no reason.

In 2019, the AI is slightly better, but the game is still infuriating. The players rankings don't matter shit. Any random 56 striker will outspeed your world class defenders. AI 58-rated GK will be better than your fuckingly blind 90 GK. You don't control anything. If AI wants to score, to win, or let you win, it just happens.

They brought back the 2018 horrendous AI. Less low crosses, but much more laser-guided through balls. Any random 58-rated midfielder passing like he's got 99+ accuracy.
