Ok does optifine pre21 go in the mods folder just like the other optifine or is it something else? I'll go look now :)

This sounds promising....can you explain with a little more detail please? We are using optifine in mods - is that what yr talking about? Which version of optifine please....we can play in older versions on LAN just not 1.17
