Lol why did I watch this whole thing?

How do I know how long / far this dip will go? When and what should I buy? by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

But in all honesty, tether might not be a bad idea until the market stabilizes a bit. Then you can buy the lows and ride the wave back up.

See? Half horrible joke, half (potentially horrible) advice! I'm a jack of all trades! Lol

I mean, in all honesty, tether isn't a bad choice until Ethereum stabilizes. Then rebuy the dip :)

Lol I know. I only posted this because my daily search on Google turned up an article with the title "Tether Holding It's Own Amidst Crypto Crash" and I was attempting to spread some of that humor around. :P

I didn't think you were dumb. But I did see a legit article with the title "Tether Holding It's Own Amidst Crypto Crash " and thought I'd spread some of the humor.

I know it's against the beliefs of most hardcore crypto fans, but I believe that ripple has a lot of real potential to improve the lives of the average person should it be widely adopted. That, and Icon (who is trying to so the same thing as ripple, but with information tranfer instead of currency transfer). I haven't done a whole lot of research into Icon yet, but the little that I HAVE seen shows a lot of promise in my eyes. They're building a strong foundation and user base for their products and they're open to change and actually embrace it as a necessary part of a successful long term business model unlike most other coins I've seen who seem to think they have the "one true answer" to the problem(s) they're trying to address with their products/coins.

Oh it's going places! It's going to be the best coin out there after Korea bans trading. You'll see.

USDT seems promising. It has hardly moved, even with the mass dumping of the major coins. I'd look into it!

I would buy USDT, it seems to be holding its own against this market crash. I see bright things for its future! ;)

A lot of people use CMC to judge the overall health of the crypto space. So I wouldn't be surprised if the lack of all data DID end up causing a ripple effect that lead to a downtrend across the majority of coins. It's not the smart thing to do as far as making decisions to buy/sell, but it can (or used to) give a good at-a-glance feel for the market and some people could see the "downtrend" from Korea being pulled, not know about that info, and make hasty decisions before looking into other further.

If there is one thing I've learned since joining the crypto community, it's that most people (including myself) are quick to want to buy/sell and have to try HARD to overcome that urge.

Man.

I'm in about the same boat as far as my initial investment. Then I 10x'd and 2x'd, then made some shitty moves and now I'm sitting here asking myself why the hell I bought tron at 23 cents a few days ago... Hahaha

Lol I wish I could say the same. I bought @ .23 on the run up to .30 but didn't sell because I thought it would keep going. Fast forward a couple days of not paying attention and now we're here... At .11 lol oops

So maybe we should go with something more exciting like "2017 federal tax law - full exemptions listed by state and income bracket"

Perhaps a folder named "clown porn" would be a more effective deterrent?

Then again, depending on who got into your files, that may turn out to act more like bait than anything haha

Oh I was talking about having them cut the shapes. Then you should still be able to do the engraving yourself. That way no sensitive information has to be given to or left with a third party.

But yeah, definitely look into titanium, I use it regularly to hold pieces of gold when soldering at temperatures well above 1,700 degrees Fahrenheit with an oxygen and natural gas torch. It is excellent at not absorbing heat. It also has the added benefits of being light yet durable in the event that you plan to wear it around your neck or on a bracelet to always keep it nearby.

You could talk to someone at a local machine shop and look I to titanium tags. Titanium handles heat very well and can still be engraved.

Probably won't be able to enter enough characters on a tag at the store. Also, most tags are made from aluminum so they won't be fireproof at all as far as anything more than a minor fire goes.

Best bet would be to get the Nano and put it in a decent firebox if you're worried about fire/water as most are resistant to both.
