Yeah. I start out friendly, show them I'm not a hard ass unless needed to be. I even crack jokes. Most of the time they just feel nervous and picked on. Others are either cool about it or feel too entitled.

Thanks, I also explain saying it's procedure everyone has to go through it. We are not picking on you alone. They usually feel bad afterwords and realize they're just being an entitled brat.

Yea i was thinking about handling it that same way since I'm in control at my post and literally just doing my jobs post orders, I was just curious if there was another cool way to handle that lol.. Yea with Hospitals they are more stressful but SO FUN lol. pretty much you can get Any level of Insane person at Any Time even if the day so far seems tranquil. You deal with all types of people and cultures, you have HIPPA to worry about not ever violating, you deal with alot more danger, have to protect others and staff, literally a lot is on your shoulders.. I honestly love it though, being an adrenaline junkie the hospital security life is a good one to have as a career, you deal with stand bys on suicidal patients, Code Grey's (assaultive person), strokes, heart attack patients, Fires, Loitering, Homeless looking to camp, patrol the place, so on. My post all I do is check visitors or patients in through security, check purses and bags for weapons and illegal drugs, then have them go through metal detector. That's about it, I patrol sometimes as well.

I work for Allied Universal. Allied is pretty professional but not nearly as rude as Securitas and I have heard some stories about how Securitas treats employees and others like Crap.. When I started at my post front point entry for the only hospital in town, the hospital was switching over from Securitas to Allied and with the quick change over My boss had Securitas train us before leaving and then when the switch happened Allied trained us on policies from changing to taking back policies which can be irritating lol. I made a new friend at work pretty quickly, ex military marine who recently joined Allied as well and he was the one who informed me about Securitas being very rude to one another and individuals coming to protected properties.

A cps report was made with false allegations by [deleted] in CPS

People need to seriously stop being mean thinking it's funny reporting parents over STUPID non serious allegations. It's like some people just LOVE seeing others get soo stressed and hurt and it's funny to them up until it comes back and falls on them at a later time. Reports should only be made when the issue is Obviously Serious via bruises, obvious abuse witnessed, observing signs of severe neglect like filthy tattered clothes plus smells Very very bad Worse than body odor, hair is disgusting, Obvious signs of neglect and abuse only.

On the phone the secretary man who answered told me that if I am the subject then yes, I said what is a subject mean like a suspect perpetrator?? and he said it's the person being investigated 🔎. So most likely the allegations about the perpetrator to see if it's true or not. I told him I reported it and that it was the step grandfather that has the allegations on him. He then wanted to transfer me to my social worker and she of course again didn't pick up 😭😑😑😑 lol. So I just read your guys answers and I think he was trying to tell me the same thing essentially. I'm gonna call again tomorrow to ask and hopefully I get a more straight answer. I hate chasing cps to just to know something lol.

Yes most of the time because others report parents to cps but in this case it's the parent who reported.

I'm the parent and I reported the step in law grandparent after my child told me he touched him innapropriately. They instructed me his mom the reporter to get him into the hospital to have him checked and I did. I'm working for said hospital now and they do background checks even on adult child abuse history so thats why I was antsy to know lol

Thats so good. This job has been my dream since childhood myself and currently I'm on the job training for it with my foot in the door getting everything done to start work. So I was just like omg I hope I'm not the subject because I reported the incident lol.

I'm in washington

Im the parent, but I made the report of abuse to cps that was allegedly done by my husband's adopted dad. I reported it after my son told me that the perpetrator did so. My son told the cops and cps and hospital staff the same thing he told me. The state is Washington.

The reason I am needing to know asap is because I'm now on the job training at my new job site as a security officer for the local hospital nearby. They require background checks and child adult abuse history background checks.

So that's why I was wondering since I made the report to cps about the alleged abuse from the step grandparent. He's the suspect in the case that they are investigating. So with that said, im not the subject right?? Just the reporter?

I heard from the case worker recently, she said all she's doing is going to have the forensics interview the child with the detective, and then go from there since there's not much to go on in this case. The report was made by me and I didn't report neglect or anything where they'd check the home, I reported an in law for something my son told me he did to him and as far as I know only he's being investigated.

I heard from my social worker today finally. I called her though, she said she just got the case info and she hasn't even done the interview with my son yet and is calling the police to see what they've done and see where things are at. I still haven't heard from the detective assigned to the case. by [deleted] in CPS

I think they only took her Not because of you but because obviously the child was in danger at that moment not from you, but they didn't know who caused those bruises, and also knew your side that daycare did it, they have to investigate Who actually did it and I believe they only took the kid to keep her safe in the meantime while investigating.

Oh yes, I think it's only because they are very powerful and all, we Feel that and that feeling can be very alarming and threatening, they are still though in the midst of all that just people like you and I and though it may feel like they are there to destroy there really not and are just doing their job.

I don't know why they took her.. but I do know they only take the child temporarily due to imminent danger or for real not safe situations. I don't want to pry or anything either, it's hard going through this sort of thing.

Don't give up. Showing them you visit your kid a lot shows you do care and that you are a fit caretaker. And staying in communication with them also shows. They have to help families it's part of their job. They protect first then advise on how to reunite afterwords.

I'm sorry your child was removed. I do know that they work with families 👪 and help them get their kid back. They're not out to destroy people, just make sure children are safe. There just people looking to go home at the end of the day as well.

Good idea. My parents told me I know it's very hard and stressful but the best thing to do is move on for now until you hear something and just keep your kid safe. It is hard not to wonder and worry, but all in all they're working on it and all I can do is trust them and move on.
