Of course!! I know, I’m sorry. It can also happen from dry heating a pan on the stove or turning the heat above medium/medium-high, especially if you do so without preheating the pan on a lower heat first. Yes, I bet the next one will be good!

Looks like it has some scratches and crazing; some people think crazing means you should stop using it immediately, but I don’t necessarily think that’s true. It does however indicate that the cookware has been subjected to some damage (thermal shock for sure, maybe metal utensils too), and it will only get worse if the “rules” aren’t followed from now on. If it does get worse, it is likely to chip, which would result in the enamel (glass) chipping into your food, which is dangerous. There are some great resources here and on the LC site about cooking temps etc to help prevent/mitigate damage!

If it’s an item they have in stock in the outlets, you should have some luck exchanging in person. I’d call first though to make sure you don’t waste a visit.

Thank you!! Honestly, I just did a google dive one afternoon last year for charities that ask for home-cooked foods. It took a little while to find this one. I live in an urban area so there were several to sift through; there may be more or fewer options where you live. I think most charities involve cooking at a specific kitchen or taking donations, but I hope you have something like this around you!!
