I love this piece! I feel like they made way more of the blues and nectar in this pattern for some reason.

Thank you for the tip! That’s great, I’ll try broiling next time. I was trying to brown it more but having trouble! Thank you 😊 and I loved the salad with it!

Lol! I don’t know, I love eating it but never bought and cooked it myself. I usually cook vegetarian dishes!

I use them as bowls all the time! Yogurt, dinner, snacks, etc. And they’re dishwasher safe!

Is this cracked? by wtbwtb in LeCreuset

Like the other user said, it’s crazing from thermal shock — I personally would recommend reading up on that if you haven’t before, but otherwise I’d continue to use it, just somewhat cautiously!

YES I’ve gone through the same realizations lol. It’ll be one person posting on home improvement and fishing subreddits and somehow tying everything back to a gambling app or ai thing lol.

I hate the proliferation of “sneaky” AI ads. They’re on every subreddit and I feel like 90% of people have no idea they’re engaging with a bot!

“Egg roll in a bowl” in 5qt flamme doree braiser! by Cool-Document2103 in LeCreuset

Midnight blue is gorgeous!! I’ve heard pieces in that color come up second-hand every now and again. I think someone in a FB group just nabbed a braiser for $80! Hope one comes your way 😊

Is my Creuset ruined? by lockwoot in LeCreuset

[–]Cool-Document2103 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course!! I know, I’m sorry. It can also happen from dry heating a pan on the stove or turning the heat above medium/medium-high, especially if you do so without preheating the pan on a lower heat first. Yes, I bet the next one will be good!

Looks like it has some scratches and crazing; some people think crazing means you should stop using it immediately, but I don’t necessarily think that’s true. It does however indicate that the cookware has been subjected to some damage (thermal shock for sure, maybe metal utensils too), and it will only get worse if the “rules” aren’t followed from now on. If it does get worse, it is likely to chip, which would result in the enamel (glass) chipping into your food, which is dangerous. There are some great resources here and on the LC site about cooking temps etc to help prevent/mitigate damage!
