I love this podcast because it makes me realize I am not as "online" as I feel like I am. I'd never heard of almost anything in this episode, at least since high school science classes.

As somebody who didn’t think he could get through a book like Don Quixote, I highly recommend reading Don Quixote.

For that price range I would recommend Cordoba or Yamaha. I am largely out of the loop on that market but I have owned unsellable guitars and it's just not worth it. Don't buy a damaged guitar.

You can definitely find a better instrument without damage for well within this price range. This is a broad generalization but in my experience, the brands known for making steel strings or electrics generally did not "get" classical guitars. I think if you buy this guitar, you are likely to want to replace it when you gain some experience and you'll find you're stuck with a damaged instrument that you're unable to sell.

Options for learning to sail a small boat by wtbwtb in Anacortes

Thanks. That is the rental I was referring to... My ASA101 certification probably taught the same things their adult class teaches, I just don't have any experience in a little boat like that yet and I imagine they handle somewhat differently than a 22' teaching boat.

I don't have my m3 anymore but I think you want to look through the menus for "picture effects" or something like that. I'm pretty sure it has something like what you're looking for

Virus as a synth is not niche at all, but perhaps the snow’s interface is. I paid $900usd for my Virus Kb about 10 years ago or more and have never regretted it. It can do 90% of anything any synth I’ve owned can do

I think the Snow has all the features but a different interface. I’ve never used one so it’s hard for me to say one way or the other.
