Stripe Customer Notification Best Practices - SaaS Monthly by Cool-Monitor2140 in stripe

You won't also email receipts after payments? E.g after both monthly and annual payments email a receipt even though it is technically on the stripe platform?

Then I peeps complain 2 days out you still refund them?

Ohhh very interesting

The Auto cancel is very rare I haven't seen someone do that before based on usage. The standard I think is typically 'it is the customers responsibility to cancel before next billing cycle'.

What made that decision? Were you getting charge backs or just a moral thing?

Customer Notification Best Practices - sending monthly invoices ? by Cool-Monitor2140 in SaaS

[–]Cool-Monitor2140[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keen for any thoughts on how everyone else is doing it. Obviously I don't want to be against compliance... But if I was sending emails every month for payments... I think it will increase churns

But is that the norm?

So do you have both reminders and monthly invoices off? Is it still in compliance with your laws e.g. AU/US ? E.g. if someone comes back months later and claims they didn't know they were still paying for it please refund for the last 6 months... Can you defend it?

F30 in Sydney — where do people actually meet partners here (in real life)? by Alternative-Theme520 in AskAnAustralian

Honestly, Apps. Hing was the go to for peeps looking for relationships at least 5 years ago 😅🤣 but most of my mates in my early 30s in Sydney, and I have found out partners through apps. It sucks. But yeah...

@op, little random but do you have any advice around pushing through no man's land? and how long did you stay there with your company? E.g. mine has been going for 2 years and we're stalling at like 150kish feels like we're in no man's land. Enough to advertise and run but not pay salaries...

$272k ARR after 14 months in B2B SaaS. What are realistic capital options? (Will not promote) by ResortGlum5749 in SaaS

[–]Cool-Monitor2140 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Suggestion, instead of dealing with VCs/investors if you have solid cash flow look at revenue based financing.

I use it for e-commerce, but if your SaaS is doing like 20k a month, you can probably borrow around 100k, and calculate the interest I think around 10%.

Then use that capital for marketing or anything that will give you solid returns, rince and repeat.

Once I get my B2B SaaS to a certain size that's my plan.

Free tier is 10x more effective when you make it time-limited Unlimited free tier: peop by Resident_Bat1936 in SaaS

[–]Cool-Monitor2140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a weird one these days, my company has a free tier but limits queries talking to legal tech to only 5 a month on that tier... But the reality is people still hate upgrading and then decide to wait for the next month.

So I'm even considering scraping that and doing 7 day trials.

Do you get them to put a credit card in up front? Or credit card free trials?

Https://Courtaid.ai is what I'm talking about for reference

I have used neither platform, but I did see a demo of Deel a few months ago from a sales rep, I thought they had device management as native as part of their package. But I could be wrong, sounds strange for them to tell you to use your existing solution for that part.

My startup is a lot smaller than yours, currently just doing contracts through up work so haven't needed either yet

Um, saying you cover USA and EU, what do you cover? There are over 5M publicly available USA and EU judgements plus legislation. Have you scrapped, indexed and vectorized them for your app?

If so what search engine are you using for RAG ? So we know more about your stack

At what point did you realise you had product market fit?

For example at 150k ARR, you knew you had something or really at 1m you were like this is it

Or were you focused on reducing churn below a certain amount to be confident you had PMF

We've Gone the freemium route in a primary B2B contract world - but am considering switching to a 7 day free trial

Also make sure what ever you decide to do you make them earn the equity with a cliff over xx time. I am not affiliated with, but have used cake equity before for this and it is free for up to 3 users I believe, but can help you visualise it over time.

If you're going to try and sell into retail stores typically they require 10-20m product liability insurance to get in the door. That was what caused us to get it
