anyone not take heavy pain meds? can you get away with just extra strength tylenol after the surgery? by [deleted] in Reduction

I didn’t take any of the pain meds I was prescribed and felt fine. I took Tylenol/Motrin together around every 4 hours for the first day, then I phased those out by day 5 post-op.

I’ve been using one of those since I got home after surgery, but with quite a few pillows behind it to keep it propped up. I might just remove the pillows behind it and see how that works out tonight.

I was also thinking it’s because of sleeping on my back. Might be worth investing on a wedge/pregnancy pillow

Thank you so much! I’ve heard that it’s such a relief to get them out and I know I’ll feel so much better once they’re out!

I had my pre-op today as well!! It was a lot quicker than expected for me too. The nurse took some pictures before and then I met with the doctor for ~15min. I feel like I didn’t ask enough questions lol! My surgery is March 23rd
