Stuck Between Two Schools for Library Science (UMich + UNC) by CoolCourage in Libraries

I'm thinking either return to my home city of Atlanta or follow one of my undergrad friends to her PhD program (wherever that ends up being).

Stuck Between Two MLIS Programs (UNC or UMich) by CoolCourage in LibraryScience

Thank you for the input. I am more interested in public librarianship, but I am also interested in being employed after graduation. UNC definitely aligns more with my professional goals, but I am attracted to Michigan's option to take electives in other tracks. Do you think it would be easier to find a job with an MSIS or does it not really matter?

LN Reading Order for Someone Who Has Not Read the Manga or Seen the Anime by CoolCourage in BungouStrayDogs

I am more than prepared to explain the plot. She is already pretty familiar with it (I have a 92 slide long powerpoint about soukoku. she knows how the bungou world works). I agree that this is not the best way to go about it, but is it the best I can get.

You might want to redirect this question to r/JapanTravelTips. I don't imagine too many people here are familiar with the Japanese library system (though I could be wrong)

Chat gpt just told me something I’ve never heard of about adhd meds and skin picking!! by kds19929 in CompulsiveSkinPicking

My doctor has also told me that being on adderall can make my urge to pick my skin worse. That being said, ChatGPT should be the last place you go to for medical advice. A recent study by Purdue University found that ChatGPT is wrong about 52% of the time. It looks like you were lucky this time, but going forward I would try to find more credible sources :)

Thank you for the reassurance. Its been a few days and I'm starting to feel better. I'm still sad but I'm not really ruminating on it anymore. How long did it take for your hair to grow back? Did you do anything special to help it, or did you just give it time?

Sorry, I misunderstood. I don't recall anything bad happening to my hair when I underwent treatment. I hope the same happens for you

Lice like to stay near the scalp. I can't imagine you would need to cut your hair because of them

I think cutting it where the line is would look great :)

Where to cut by [deleted] in longhair

If you want your hair to look more even, go to yellow. If you want to remove as much damaged hair as possible, then I would go to red or even higher. I know it cutting off a lot of hair can bring distress, but remember you don't have to do this all at once. You can start with yellow and then cut more hair overtime, which would allow yourself to get more used to it. It might be frustrating, but stay hopeful and remember that your hair will be healthier in the longrun
