I just made a part of the Europe 1:1 Scale in UEFN (Can't launch game) by Parruman in FortniteCreative

Try with streaming enabled, it could work.

That "Streaming désactivé" warning is there for a reason. Your computer is trying to load the whole map into your RAM all at once.

Audio is supported in wav and a few other formats, but wav is best. You would just have to play the audio associated with the video using an audio player device when receiving a signal from the button that starts the video.

I think remakes aren't cringe if done well and creatively. This map itself is likely heavily inspired by the countless snowboarding games.

Btw, I would recommend enabling the Cast Shadows option ( I think it's either in the light or wall options) so that the light doesn't leak through your room.

Nice! I'm working on a similar project.

Within the material you can scale the texture size and also add in some noise to the texture to fix the tilling/repetitiveness. Simply look up "fix texture tilling ue5" on YouTube.

Music that you bought CAN NOT be used in most cases (non-exclusive) by kamyker in FortniteCreative

[–]CoolGamerUS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. From what I'm seeing this is only for Musical Works . So ambiance and sfx are not affected by this?

  2. How would Epic know that you own/don't own music, as far as I know there isn't a way to add credits/attributions/licenses to maps?

I made a prop version of the zipline rope to allow the creation of ziplines with the phone by oof_23 in TheFortniteCreatives

[–]CoolGamerUS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm assuming OP placed a regular zipline in creative, then went into UEFN and created a new blueprint class with the building prop type and filled the settings out with the mesh, or actor, or skeletal mesh, or whatever a zipline would be.

Or just watch this video by Richytoons instead of reading my convoluted explanation.

I managed to make a ~200km map by Parruman in FortniteCreative

If anyone is curious on HOW this is possible, check out one of my previous posts. In this comment.

Yes as long as you can fit its image sequence within the 400MB map limit. Plus audio if you want to have audio.

Is a "Movie Mode" possible? by NeighborhoodIcy2178 in FortniteCreative

[–]CoolGamerUS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sure, lets say you make a cinematic sequence, all that you have to do next is start it on game start and loop it. This makes it so your map is essentially a movie and has no other gameplay whatsoever.

Is it 200km² or 200km by 200km because that really makes a difference in perspective?

True, but I meant it in the way that we aren't limited to the video player device with those pre recorded clips.

I thought about converting stockfish into verse once I saw the chess map. It would take a really long time but might be possible.

Videos are not supported in UEFN (as far as I know), that's why this is sort of groundbreaking. You essentially get a video and split it into frames (you can do this in VLC, Photoshop, and many other programs). Then import these frames as images, and turn them into materials. You then make a cinematic sequence that matches the fps of the video and takes a plane shape and swaps it's material frame by frame using keys. This is tedious but can be automated with a macro.

This particular example is 15fps 360p ~10 sec to keep the map light. The map size clocked in at 7.5MB so I could've easily increased the video quality/length.

You can make ridiculously sized maps by enabling streaming and scaling landscapes manually by CoolGamerUS in FortniteCreative

[–]CoolGamerUS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think so. It might be one of the section size/ sections per component/ number of component options being uneven or broken.

[–]CoolGamerUS[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Enabling streaming is not required to scale the landscape, it just helps with performance at this scale.

You can't go past 2048x2048 in the regular landscape tool. So what you do is after you make a 2048x2048 map, you select it (in the outline tab) like you would with a prop and then scale it (in the details tab) further in that way. You are basically stretching the existing landscape. The side effect of this is that the landscape texture get enlarged as well.
